3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber. Overall good stout, not great. Body was a little thin and too carbonated to be a full competitor in this class. Good flavors with richness

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black in color large lingering tan head. Aroma is soft with hints of chocolate and vanilla. Itís nice to have a stout that is this good every now and then thats not 10% abv. Good flavors chocolate and vanilla leading the way and a hint of sour in the finsh. A little bit thin texture but over all very good year round drinker.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle split with my bro round the campfire with símores. Aroma is milk chocolate, vanilla, and a dirty cocoa malt. Pours black with a fizzy white head (a little offputting). Taste is briny and roasty accented with semi-sweet chocolate and a vanilla finish. Neat attempt but the sweet vanilla cocoa is not complementing the bitter oyster roast.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
750ml bottle pours a watery, translucent, mahogany brown with some fast fading white head. Nose of dried cocoa powder, malt, a little rootbeer, dust. Flavors of dried chocolate, earthy, a distinct minerality, malt, toast. Odd, chalky finish. Not good.

8/16/13. Bottle from CBO $10.99. Shared with Dan.
Big bottle of disappointment.
750ml of disappointment.
Aroma is artificial chocolate. almost no carbonation. No aftertaste. Swallow and it's gone. Flavor like the smell is bleh. I bought it to trade it but kept it like a dope and traded the nesh Leon

From notes: Poured opaque black with a 3-finger tan head. Aroma is chocolatey with a touch of yeast. A note of vanilla appears as it warms. Medium thick with a slightly oily feel. Flavor has notes of chocolate and vanilla, with the chocolate becoming more pronounced in the finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle into a tulip. From notes.
A: Pours a dark ruby color. The head is a three finger khaki shade with layered foam thickness. Layered foam thickness, folks! Thatís worth bonus points by itself.
S: The aroma is straightforward; dry, powdery chocolate is backed by a touch of vanilla. Maybe hints of cream pop up here and there.
T: Chocolate makes itself known immediately, before transitioning to caramel and vanilla in the middle. Some chocolate flavors return in the finish, backed by a subtle mineral note. This one does a great job of striking a balance between being easy drinking and being dessert-like.
M: I think the body could be a little thicker, and a little creamier as well. The finish is mostly dry, however a touch of chocolate sweetness continues to linger. Despite my complaints about the lack of decadence, this is unbelievably quaffable.
O: Itís not the most complex stout by any stretch. However, the way it delicately balances drinkability with a rich chocolate flavor just impresses the hell out of me. I could easily crush a 750 of this and not grow tired of it.
