3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
The aroma is interesting, it starts with floral hops, and then fades to dark fruits. Pours a clear reddish-amber, with a half inch of off-white head. Interesting flavor with fruit notes, biscuit notes, and just a touch of hops. Full bodied, and falls much more in line with an Amber then an ESB.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12oz bottle from Wegman’s, King of Prussia, PA. A reddish copper pour with a scummy cream head that laces the glass nicely - certainly looking like a cask ale; the aroma is richly vinous and appertisingly plummy; after a smooth sip, the taste explodes in the mouth - there’s some purple fruit, treacle toffee, brazil nuts and soft roasted malts; before a dry finish with some woody hops. This has to be the best English ESB style ale I’ve found in the States - it reminds me of the Fuller’s Vintage Ales.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Sugars. Dark amber pour with a foamy head that left some runny lace. Medium fruit from the malt. Dried strawberries. Toasted oats. Burnt Brazil nut shells. Red plums. Black peppercorns. Malty and bitter. Well enough, but feels too thin.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. Amber colour with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma is herbal, floral and mild grassy notes along with some crystal and bready notes. Flavour is crystal, caramel and some slight bready notes along with a mild nuttyness. Also some nice bitter floral and grassy hops in it. Stronger than the usual UK ESB, but otherwise quite true to the style (in a British way).

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear, solid amber with an off-white head and moderate lace. Aromas of caramel malt come first, with generous amounts of burnt sugar and floral hops. Caramel malt sweetness provides a strong base for a cornucopia of modest but clear toffee, biscuit, floral hops and grapefruit. Light to medium body, nice carbonation, smooth on the palate, and a crisp clean finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at lucky lab. Pours dark copper with minimal head that dissipates very quickly. Aroma is very malty and is full of caramel. Taste is on the sweet side and is mostly caramel. This is not a typical biter but pretty decent.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle. Pours a clear dark color with a medium off-white head.
Very nice lacing.
A hoppy aroma, but well balanced with some maltiness. Taste is similarly balanced. Medium bodied beer. Finish is dry and nutty.
Very well done.
I only had one beer this day after work on a very hot day and this hit me nicely.
