mabel (1583), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 4, 2008 [1275-20080410] 355mL bottle. Mild toasted malt aroma has a hint of roasted something-wanting. Clear, dark red brown body with a quick foamy light tan head. Mild malty toasted yeast flavour is a little sour in the finish. Medium body is a little thin. Average.

Pours a slightly hazy deep ruby with a spare creamy off-white head. Aroma of lightly roasted malt and light green hops. Flavour of lightly roasted malt and notes of sour fruit.
Average bodied. It’s O.K., I didn’t mind it. tupalev (2285), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 14, 2008 Bottle at the no Greg tasting, courtesy of, of course, Greg, shared with Hogtown Harry, Blankboy, Jerc, and Mabel. Dark golden brown, small white head. Ok aroma - malt, some slight roast. Decent malty taste, some sourness which I did not care for as well. Decent old style porter overall, probably a bit past its prime, despite the alcohol. HogTownHarry (3174), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Apr 10, 2008 Bottle (12oz). No ClowGr’s tasting, shared with blankboy, jerc, mabel and tupalev. Clear deep ruby, very small frothy beige head. Mild roast sweet malt, lemon sourness, somewhat leafy. Taste - same, lemon and green olive saltiness, very harshly bitter - hmmm. Light body, acidic without much carbonation, long bitter-sour finish - weird. Not great. garcia2a (4), Ambler, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Apr 3, 2008 Very easy drinking porter. Pours a deep ruby tone with a fleeting head. Hint of chocolate and caramel on the nose. The lighter body leans to excellent mouthfeel and drinkability.
