5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
This is one of my favorite beers. I’ve never had it on tap, but I can get it at any distributor for a fairly reasonable price.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Very, very nice IPA. Brewed in the english style, not over the top, subtle and refined. Good hopping, with a pronounced Cascade flavor, balanced expertly on a slab of malty goodness. Light citric fruitiness and a bit of apple/pear flavors. All around a good beer. I can’t find a flaw.

Yards India Pale Ale
Calories: estimated at 150 C
Volume: 12 fl oz
Purchased at: Circle Liquors Super Saver
Consumed at: home
Impression: Visually astounding - fiery, deep brown edges, orange, yellow, pale, clear with thick white head. Nice aroma, flowery, sweet, and deep. It’s in the air. Visually carbonated, and crisp. Lacing is amazing. Head holds on. A very nice beer with a long bitter aftertaste.
Aroma: 9 out of 10
Visuals: 5 out of 5
Taste: 9 out of 10
Palate: 5 out of 5
Overall: 18 out of 20. I liked the flavor, the visuals, the aroma, the texture, and the bitterness, though, in the grand scheme of things, there are many beers just like it, and many just a bit better.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Golden amber color with a foamy head looks perfect! Fresh aroma full of orange and grapefruit. Very citrusy. The taste is bitter, but not harsh. Yard’s IPA finishes with a light bitterness in the back of the mouth making it water. The flavor seems to explode in your mouth. This is an awesome IPA! Got to get my hands on this on tap!

4.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Bottle version, is bottled conditioned, Pours to a amber color, with a HUGE, rocky, white head, and a vibrant carbonation. The nose is very zesty, with lots of good flowery/citrus hop aromas, with some good pale/biscuit malt aroma. The palate is very firm, with good pale and biscut malt aroma, with a nice back drop of estery fruit. This beer finishes with more good pale and biscuit malt flavor up front, then ends with a very zesty/tangy burst of orange peel/lemon bitterness that lingers. Very well done IPA, with lots of great hop aromas, flavor, and bitterness, with a good malt backbone. A very drinkable beer, and a very food friendly one as well. Would make a good match to classic English pub grub, spicy Thai, Indian, or even Mexican dishes.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma is beautiful tangerine hops, quickly followed by mild pine and a darkly sweet malt. Marriage of citrus/wood hop and deep malt.
The appearance is glowing, transluscent light orange. Slushy finger of head. Some slushy lace. Great color.
Flavor is sweet hops, blood orange and more tangerine, grounded in pine sap. Nice roasted, bready malt. English malts are a needed balance. Spicy cinnamon even?
Feels creamy and a little chunky. American hops, English malts. A sweet, delicious IPA.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
had their IPA at the brewery on penn’s landing in philly. overall, has a hoppy filled aroma, but it isn’t too overbearing on the taste. very flavorful, but this is to be expected with 8% ipa. tastey ipa indeed, best of which on the east coast.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
You never forget your first. Overall, this is an amazing IPA. While nothing is perfect, it is very flavorful and has a distinct hoppy smell that definitely shows you this is a stronger beer. I don’t tend to eat much while drinking this beer, partly because I enjoy the taste alone, the higher alcohol content can pack a punch if you decided to have a few on an empty stomach. For those that prefer a mildy dark, semi-bitter IPA, look no further than Yards Brewing Company.
