COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
SEDUCTIVELY SMOOTH Our brewers have poured their hearts and roasted malts into this rich, slightly sweet stout. Luscious notes of coffee and chocolate accent the smooth, creamy mouth feel. We will not apologize for any amorous affairs resulting from the consumption of this beverage

My 5100th rating. Bottle. Nose is lightly musty/meaty, as at some Sushi bars, but that resides somewhat and leaves a sticky trail of dark chocolate and heavy dark roast -- interesting. Dark brown-black that’s pitch in the glass, medium -sized light brown head. Light-medium body, nice level of carbonation, it’s roast and dark chocolate, notes of scorch and char that pleasantly dot the way through the finish, but there’s very little (I think) bitterness and true enjoyment of the roast/blackness doesn’t really come until a pint or so in. Thankfully it’s semi-dry, and only lightly acrid, with pleasant creamy suggestions and a subdued fresh hop character that rounds off the edges nicely. Profile is something of an upscaled Brawler. All told, a bit strange, but a potential go-to American stout.

Bottle. Pours black. Notes of chocolate. Taste like a light stout and easy to drink.

On tap in Philly. Nice chocolatey, roasty, relatively light, yet flavorful stout. I would definitely have this again. I was pleasantly surprised, as this is incredibly drinkable with plenty of smooth flavor.

UPDATED: JAN 16, 2015 Pours an opaque deep brown with little head which disappears quickly.......aroma of smoke, chocolate and coffee notes.....taste is light coffee, bittering, a bit thin but still creamy. Finishes bitter coffee grounds.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured black, nice tan head but no real lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, some chocolate and a bit of coffee. Taste is mostly chocolate and roasted notes, some bitterness to it. Nice and solid, very enjoyable.

Notes of malt, toast and coffee on the nose. Appearance is a dark brown with a tan head. Flavor tastes like day old coffee with hints of chocolate in the background. The roast character is high. Mouthfeel is thin and watery with medium carbonation. Overall, it's a poorly brewed beer. I would not buy this beer again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[on tap at Local, PHI airport] Light coffee aroma with faint chocolate, licorice, and red fruit notes. Opaque black with clear, ruby highlights under an eternal, light brown, lacy flannel blanket. Sweet, sour and lightly bitter mocha flavour with faint red fruit accents. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, smooth.

On nitro, thick luscious off white/light tan head, crisp bite, kinda surprising for a stout, nice alcohol warmth behind. Will be looking for this again.
