COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
SEDUCTIVELY SMOOTH Our brewers have poured their hearts and roasted malts into this rich, slightly sweet stout. Luscious notes of coffee and chocolate accent the smooth, creamy mouth feel. We will not apologize for any amorous affairs resulting from the consumption of this beverage

Tap at Homegrown... Thought I rated this a long time ago... Black in color.... nice khacki colored head. Smells good. Roasted malts, light chocolate, slight saltiness. Taste is a light stout but far from watery. Roasted malts, chocolate, salty. Easy drinking stout

12 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a darker brown with a beige head of foam. The aroma is dry, ashy, mildly roasty. The taste has subtle sweetness and roast. Medium body and soft carbonation. Not bad.

As someone who enjoys stouts I was put off by this one in the pour. I poured from bottle into English pint and the cola brown stout with a fan head seemed on the thin side of med body. The lighter roasted malt, leather and chocolate aromas put me off to. About half way through to glass though I started to change my mind. The amazing drink ability of this stout after a winter of harder tastes makes this the perfect spring change over beer for me. Taste was same as aroma.

Bottle to shaker glass. Pours black with a deep red hue. Frothy two finger brown head. Some lacing and retention. Aroma is lightly roasted black patent malt. Taste is bittersweet with most of the bitterness coming from the dark malts. Medium bodied, adequate carbonation, creamy mouth feel. Finishes slightly bitter. Tasting notes of chocolate malt, vanilla, weak coffee and roast. Nice, basic, easy drinking stout.

Tap offering, could have sworn i rated this before, but guess not..pours like a guinness with some nitro action eventually settling to a medium black color with a foamy tan head atop..nose is roasted stout goodness..easy drinking for sure..low abv..could definitely have a few..smooth chocolate milk character to it..good local stout

On nitro draft at Soacebar Falls Church VA. Pours a clear dark cola with a creamy tan head. Aroma of burnt toast and chocolate. Flavors of leather and nuts. Bitter finish.

On tap at Earth. Pours a deep cola brown with a medium sized tan head. Big sweet chocolate with soft vanilla. Melting milk chocolate. On the thin side of medium, but probably just from the nitro. Tart raisin and chocolate, soft cocoa. Lingering chocolate, but goes downhill.

My 5100th rating. Bottle. Nose is lightly musty/meaty, as at some Sushi bars, but that resides somewhat and leaves a sticky trail of dark chocolate and heavy dark roast -- interesting. Dark brown-black thatís pitch in the glass, medium -sized light brown head. Light-medium body, nice level of carbonation, itís roast and dark chocolate, notes of scorch and char that pleasantly dot the way through the finish, but thereís very little (I think) bitterness and true enjoyment of the roast/blackness doesnít really come until a pint or so in. Thankfully itís semi-dry, and only lightly acrid, with pleasant creamy suggestions and a subdued fresh hop character that rounds off the edges nicely. Profile is something of an upscaled Brawler. All told, a bit strange, but a potential go-to American stout.
