SEDUCTIVELY SMOOTH Our brewers have poured their hearts and roasted malts into this rich, slightly sweet stout. Luscious notes of coffee and chocolate accent the smooth, creamy mouth feel. We will not apologize for any amorous affairs resulting from the consumption of this beverage

Tap at Homegrown... Thought I rated this a long time ago... Black in color.... nice khacki colored head. Smells good. Roasted malts, light chocolate, slight saltiness. Taste is a light stout but far from watery. Roasted malts, chocolate, salty. Easy drinking stout

Pours black into a shaker. Mocha head with excellent retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Soft with dark licorice upfront turning to soy in the lasting finish.

Opaque deep brown with short head. Cocoa, dates, plums, slightly roasted malt on nose. Aroma carries over to flavor with addition of coffee that I didn’t catch before, some whole grain crackers. Light body, slick feel, soft carbonation, medium to long finish with slight bittering from coffee and chocolate. Nice solid low abv stout.

On nitro at the brewery. Pours black with thick creamy beige head that lasts. The aroma is roast and dark chocolate. Thin mouth, cracker malt, cocoa, licorice, light roast, good.

On nitro, so lots of head. Slightly sour malt and barley aroma. Dark black body. Extremely smooth and bitter taste, slightly oaky. Creamy mouthfeel. Exactly what a nitro should be. Tap.

A very fine stout. Not an Imperial or double or foreign or any other adjective, just a mighty fine Stout. Creamy head, perfect blend of nice dark coffee and chocolate tastes.

Bottle from Perfect Pour. Dark, toasty oak body with thick tan head. Nose is sweet, chocolate, caramel. Taste is oaky, roasty, malts. Smooth texture. Lots of ash in there. Not so great. Where’s the love?

Bottle to pint (thanks Kerry). Looks good; a lightly translucent dark brownish cola with foamy beige head that slowly but steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of dark malt and chocolate alongside mild notes of roast and a touch of sweetness. Tastes like it smells, but not as robust, with a medium-light to medium-bodied mouthfeel that’s on the drier side for not being a dry stout. Solid and sessionable.

Roasted chocolate malt aroma. Pours black with a tan head. Opaque. Mostly roast flavors. Some sweet, but it’s not overwhelming or complex Has a light acid background flavor. Thin bodied.

Pours black with brown edges, with a one finger tan head which quickly fades to very little lacing. Aroma is of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, sweet malts, caramel, molasses, and some light burnt notes. Taste is similar to the aroma minus the burnt notes and with some added light fruitiness. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a mostly sweet, medium finish. Overall, a decently tasty, easy drinking stout that is pretty sessionable for the style

DATE TASTED: November 12, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Guinness pint... OCCASION: a rainy night looking forward to Friday... APPEARANCE: dark black body, as expected; brow, fraying head settles thickly, exhibiting creaminess and consistency... AROMA: chocolate and coffee immediately, as promised; some nuttiness in the malts, but the sweetness and toasted promise is clear and present--a pleasure to inhale... PALATE: creamy early, somewhat smooth in its middle, and lingering in its warmth late... a bit heavy and flat at the finish as well... TASTE: a silky sweetness begins the profile, and its toastiness is palpable but dry; peaty notes make for a rounded, relaxed flavor overall... OVERALL: a stout with little to complain about...actually, flip that--a stout with a lot going for it, and prop to Yards for getting it right...phenolic fragrance detracts slightly from the experience but overall, a solid styling...
