Grapefruity and hoppy, Yards Philly Pale Ale is a pretty solid APA. I’ve had better, but this is very good. Very nice start for this brand.

This is my go to beer. It is light and hoppy with a little bit of fruitiness. The alcohol is low 4.2 and the hops are not overwhelming but this beer is perfect on a warm day.

This golden colored pale ale looks great in the glass creating a thick full head that develops into a light lace that lasts until the end. The hops make their presence known both in the taste and aroma. A very good beer that deserves more respect in the South Jersey area than it gets.

Wow, I don’t know if I got a bad bottle or what but this pale ale taste like sour grapes or rotten fruit. Actually, it’s nasty, bitter and has an awful finish of metal or something. I am giving it a three for flavor just because it has a unique nasty ass taste.

Big on carbonation this beer yields a head like Bonds does a bat. Hoppy like a bunny I really like the new recipe over the old. The switch was warranted and I think the new style will help Yards reap the rewards it’s due. Easy drinking ale.

Faint citrusy-orange aroma. Pours a decent gold with zero lacing and a light head that dissipates quickly. Flavor is hoppy and citrusy to match the nose. Palate is slightly watery and diminishes almost immediately

The aroma is well balanced . Nice hop character in the flavor. I thought this was quite nice and extreamely drinkable.

Bottle. I tried to pour this one as slow as possible and still had to wait for the head to reced after pouring 1/3 of the beer. The aroma was a strong citrus hops smell. Flavor was almost smokey as it tends to be with a large amount of american hops. It finished quite nicely with not an unpleasant aftertaste. With less carbonation it could be a great APA.
