Big citrusy piney hop nose. Clear light yellow golden with a small white head. Citrusy fresh hop flavor is predominates over light caramel sweetness and a light graininess. Dry moderately bitter finish. Clean and easy drinking. Had several more on tap. bigrond (1044), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 9, 2009 This was a very plain beer. It’s flavor was slightly better than the norm. A little different. It did have a nice finish but not enough to make you want more. corby112 (706), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 30, 2009 Pours a dark golden yellow color with a 2.5 finger frothy white head that slowly fades into a lasting ring and cap, leaving splotches of lacing along the glass.
Biscuity malt aroma with hints of grass and straw with some graham cracker malt and a nice hop presence.
Lower end of medium body with a nice pilsner/ bicuity malt backbone and a decent hop presence for the style. Clean and very drinkable with a crisp subtle hop dry finish.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 28, 2009 Bottle. Pours pale yellowish, with little to no head. Aroma is very mild, but pleasntly earthy. Body is a bit thin, but this makes the beer taste more refreshing. Finish is weak, but overall, a surprisingly great local brew. joeyplush (337), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 22, 2009 12 oz. bottle. This is a unique and very drinkable pale ale. Aroma of citrus (grapefruit) hops. Pale gold color, thinnish head and light lacing. Flavor is refreshing, nice citrus hoppiness and a crisp finish. Hints of sweet malt in the palate. Also tried one of these on tap at Citizen’s Bank Park earlier this week. cazort (413), Newark, Delaware, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Aug 13, 2009 (Bottle) I am very impressed with this beer. It’s not a strong or powerful beer...it’s a little on the lighter side and while the hops have a bold presence, they’re only moderately strong. I really like the character of the hops...they are very cool and clean tasting and make for an extraordinarily refreshing brew. The malt is also rich but without being heavy, and blends well with the hops. Not a great deal of complexity, but certainly an enjoyable beer and among the better of the American Pale Ales I’ve tried. What really makes this beer is its balance, subtlety, and a complete lack of any of the objectionable qualities that plague many micro-brewed pale ales. dmac (1449), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 9, 2009 12 oz of the biggest let down from Yards that I have ever experienced. Aroma was some weird earthy, mud, skunk cabbage, band aid, old pond mixture. Luckily the flavor wasn’t as offensive but just really weak with some grassy notes, slight citrus but just really waterd down overall. After several nice experiences with Yards its about time I found their dog. dagimp (117), Philly, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 9, 2009 From a bottle into a pint glass. 3 fingers of fluffy white head, not much lacing at all. Nose is very light, mild floral notes but nothing more. Taste is light with lemon, flowers and a slight pineyness. The floral hops really shine in this beer. Extremely sessionable. This isn’t a heavy, hop bomb or barleywine. It’s a light, smooth beer with lots of flavor that you can enjoy any time. Hits the mark.
