pale gold color with a small white head. Sour aroma and flavor that was hard to get past. Mild malt flavor with some decent hop bittering. This is the third beer I’ve tried from Yards and all had similar sour aromas and flavors
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 tom10101 (1166) - Quebec, CANADA - OCT 18, 2012
Bottle (12 oz). Thanks to iguenard for this one! Unclear straw color with a huge and thick forever lasting white head and some lacing. Aroma of pilsner malt, peaches and artificial sugar. Taste is sweet and about the same as aroma. Mouthfeel is watery. Lack of complexity and body but easily drinkable.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 AirForceHops (1922) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 16, 2012
Draft @ the brewery, 13 Oct 2012. Transparent gold with plenty of carbonation. Aroma is packed with citrus and cracker malt. Nice nose gets my expectations a bit high. Flavor is lightly malty with notes of hay and leads to a grassy bitterness. This would be a good beer for the beach or mowing the lawn.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Tonkun (343) - New York, USA - SEP 30, 2012
Tap. Clear golden pour with minimal head. Citrus and a bit of caramel. Not too interesting.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 BiddleBrau (776) - Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 30, 2012
clear golden with a hint of haze. thinner white head. Bit of citrus nose, but sub-par when compared to other offerings. Citrus flavor, sharp and a bit too much without the malt support. This beer is cold so that sharpness is accentuated. Palate is thinner and this doesn’t finish all that clean. Sorry Tom. Go Mountain Hawks.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Nephilium (1163) - Ohio, USA - SEP 22, 2012
Mild hop aroma, with a hint of caramel and biscuit malts. Pours a clear light amber, with a full white head. Mild flavor, with just a hint of hop presence, thin mouthfeel. A strange blend of a pils and a pale ale... not really going out of my way to get this one again.
