Not to be boastful, but we honestly believe all other ales pale in comparison to ours. Dry hopped with an abundance of distinctive Simcoe hops, this straw colored pale ale is more drinkable than bitter, more aromatic than aggressive. Philly Pale, as itís better known, is crisp, hoppy, and bursting with citrus. Philadelphia Pale Ale was named one of the best Pale Ales in the country by the New York Times.

On draft right on Rittenhouse Square! What a pleasant surprise! Great refreshment but still full-flavored. And not at all overdone on the hops. An excellent choice in a pale ale, especially if you're planning to have more than one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Meh not a very good pale ale, itís better than light beer, but would not advise it by choice.

Pours yellow with white head from the bottle I got at GE. Bread and biscuit with pine and lemon hop aroma. Moderate/Mild bitter with bread and lemon. Some mild pine notes. Not bad.

This one has almost no aroma. Very little head. The beer has a nice mostly clear golden color. Slight and light head. The beer has a pretty bitter taste that goes with the pale ales. It does leave a bit of an after taste that might not be pleasant to some. Me being a hophead, I donít mind it. Over all, if youíre in Philly, try it. Not the best so far that I have experienced, but worth a try.

Pours a soft and clean straw yellow with one to two fingers of white head, laces well. Nose is grassy with some soft sweet malt notes. A touch grainy. Grassy/grainy flavor with a prominent citrus rind bitterness. Light bodied and dry on the finish. 6/3/6/3/17

The New York Times called this one of the best new pale ales in the country. Whatever! This pours a very pale gold with a thin white head. Aroma is floral hops, grainy malt, and some yeasty tones. The flavour is weak, almost watery. Iíve tried this on both draught and bottle with the same result.

On tap at Side Door Pub in Chalfont, PA. Far more tolerable than the Brawler, but the flavor just doesn't hold long enough to make this a good beer.

Golden clear with thick foamy head; slightly spicy aroma Flava is spicy citrusy; feels slightly flat with some bite on the tongue; finishes light but rich grain and hops

On tap at Philly Airport Marriott. Well, it could be worse. Bright golden pour, well carbonated. Mild fruits, muted hops, and some grain in the nose. Initially bright carbonation but tapers off quickly, urging you to chug. Dry and clean taste, with a lemony thing, some anonymous hops, but a disconcertingly bland impression overall.
