COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not to be boastful, but we honestly believe all other ales pale in comparison to ours. Dry hopped with an abundance of distinctive Simcoe hops, this straw colored pale ale is more drinkable than bitter, more aromatic than aggressive. Philly Pale, as itís better known, is crisp, hoppy, and bursting with citrus. Philadelphia Pale Ale was named one of the best Pale Ales in the country by the New York Times.

Location/Date:Bottle from Jay during Caps watching, April 2nd, 2013.

Appearance: Pours a clear gold.
Aroma: Aroma of light hop.
Taste: LIght hop, decent balance, some citrus..
Palate:Llight body.

Summary: An okay APA that does that job, but not really to the level I expect of APAs in terms of bitterness. Does have a light abv.

Appearance: Golden in color about a finger of white head; not completely clear a bit hazy. Aroma is citrus. Very light taste a bit bitter and citrusy, that makes for a refreshing beer, very easy to drink.

Bottle, fresh from the brewery. Pours a clean light gold with one finger of white head. Nose is grapefruit, lemon, sweet caramel and honey malt. Not overly hoppy but the hop flavor dominates - citrus and pineapple. When fresh this is one of my favorite pale ales/session beers.

Light citrusy aroma, Not overbearing. I can definitely taste the pilsner hops mixed with the american hops, it provides for a lighter pale ale. It definitely gives you a Pilsner finish. Good beer for 4.6.

Tasted from a bottle. Golden colored, clear beer. Not much aroma, not much on taste.

No bottling information.
Appearance: The body is a beautiful crystal clear gold with a steady rising of carbonation bubbles throughout, the head is a thin white and the only thing keeping this from a 5 point rating in appearance.
Aroma: The aroma is lightly malty, but slightly sweet citrus hops bring some life to the aroma with good balance.
Taste: The balance between the hops and malts is great here, light caramel notes with slightly sweet citrus work together wonderfully, but the hops fade by the finish leaving just the malts exposed. How unfortunate.
Palate: Light crisp body with carbonation towards the heavy side.
Overall: This is a very good pale ale and was probably near top of the class when Yards started brewing in 1994. Itís still good by 2012 standards, but I feel itís a little too bland and the hops finish too early for this to hold up to other pale ales. This is a nice beer for drinking through the night though.

Draft. Hazy gold with small white head. Very hoppy, with strong citrus. Thin, but very drinkable.

I do not mind spending 10 bucks a six pack for this one. One of my favorite pale ales. Light, citrusy, easy to drink, taste of hops without the uber bitter aftertaste. Awesome summer beer, good with any meal.
