eaglefan538 (2351), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Oct 4, 2007 Consumed while up at Citizen’s Bank Park, watching the Phils lose game 2 to the Rockies, joy! In any event, it poured yellow-amber in color on draft, nice initial head and good lacing. The aroma was citrus hops, light fruity esters. The flavor was citrus hops, light pine, but ample malts underneath, almost sweat bready-like. No idea why this didn’t score higher, I enjoyed it. alobar (1006), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 20, 2007 Pours a clear orange color muted with yellow undertones, No head, Limited lacing. Aroma of citrus and some hops-but mild. Pervasive citrus taste with a mild hoppy bitterness at the end. Refreshing. Aurelius (2643), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Sep 18, 2007 Clear, yellow-orange, fizzy but no head. Bright citrine. Super fruity, fuzzy navel aroma. Tastes like piney orange and lemon jello. Crisp, moderately sweet, nice hopping. Mouthy but still servicable for an extended session. The occasional off flavor here and there in teh toasty malt, but nothing too bad. This one grew on me. On tap, Philly. awwshiz (76), USA Sep 2, 2007 Very bitter, but I don’t think it was due to the hops. The skunky, bitter aftertaste lasts longer than one would like kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 10/22/2006

hazy yellow, thin white head, touch of lace sliding down the glass, nice floral hop aroma with a hint of sweetness, light body, nice hop flavor and a long bitter finish, just a bit of sweet malt upon warming adds balance

cheapdark (2011), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 29, 2007 Don’t you just love to say the British word yards? Light plastic or volatile rubber olfactory. The appearance is that of one color shade darker than ubiquitous pale yellow american lager. Perhaps i see some haze in there, just barely. Taste is all bitter hops, I guess. Middle palate bitter linger. Lets all chew on some green grapefruit rinds. Sometimes it is difficult to delineate the border between IPA and APA and this is a good example. Decent and creqamy carbonation that is enjoyed for such a hopped beer. During the swallow I get a tingle all they way down the throat. Finish is bitter linger as stated but not quite like an IPA. mansquito (819), Boston/Philadelphia, USA Aug 16, 2007 Big fluffy white heat that leaves lacing and all. Rather light amber colour. Grassy and piny hops in the aroma methinks. Watery at the front of the palate. Light taste of piny hops and some malts. Bready and yeasty at the finish. Ok, but nothing great really. TomDecapolis (3127), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 26, 2007 On tap at a Philllies game. Pours a translucent golden amber with a medium off white head. Aroma was floral with some pine, grapefruit and caramel. Flavor of hops, caramel malts, pine, various citrus and some cereal grains.
