The appearance is that of one color shade darker than ubiquitous pale yellow american lager. Perhaps i see some haze in there, just barely. Taste is all bitter hops, I guess. Middle palate bitter linger. Lets all chew on some green grapefruit rinds. Sometimes it is difficult to delineate the border between IPA and APA and this is a good example. Decent and creqamy carbonation that is enjoyed for such a hopped beer. During the swallow I get a tingle all they way down the throat. Finish is bitter linger as stated but not quite like an IPA. mansquito (825), Boston/Philadelphia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 16, 2007 Big fluffy white heat that leaves lacing and all. Rather light amber colour. Grassy and piny hops in the aroma methinks. Watery at the front of the palate. Light taste of piny hops and some malts. Bready and yeasty at the finish. Ok, but nothing great really. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jun 29, 2007 12 oz bottle, via Zathrus13. Pours a clear dark gold body under a generous foamy white head. Lots of carbonation and lots of protein chunkies on the second pour. Aroma is of light floral hops with a hint of bready malt. A little grassiness also. The flavor is leafy grassy hops with a light perfumy taste on the finish. Minimal malt impact. Mouthfeel is thin with a little too much foaming carbonation. A run of the mill APA. The carbonation was a big detractor for me. cbkschubert (1967), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 25, 2007 12 oz. bottle via trade with jasonmech77 - Pours a slightly hazy (poured a little sediment in there) bright orangish color with a half finger thick white head that faded quickly. Aroma is citrus (oranges) and light toasted malt. Has a narly bitter taste. Flavor isn’t quite right. Light to medium body. It might be me, but there is something a little off about this beer. Thanks Jason. BitchesBrew (710), Berkeley, California, USA
