On the beer engine. Thin brown body with an equally thin flavor of caramel in the balt. Somewhat sweet but rather forgettable. A disappointing offering from a solid brewer.

12oz bottle from zathrus13. Pours a medium clear golden color with a bit of head that settles down to a ring around the edge of my glass and traces of lacing. Nose is somewhat sweet and bready with touches of grass. Decent carb and somewhat refreshing, but not much hop presence in way of flavor or bittering.

The "Sierra Nevada Pala Ale" for Philly.....really delicious, really well made, really easy drinking - a good starter beer for new comers to local brews....

12 oz. bottle. This is a unique and very drinkable pale ale. Aroma of citrus (grapefruit) hops. Pale gold color, thinnish head and light lacing. Flavor is refreshing, nice citrus hoppiness and a crisp finish. Hints of sweet malt in the palate. Also tried one of these on tap at Citizen’s Bank Park earlier this week.

Big on carbonation this beer yields a head like Bonds does a bat. Hoppy like a bunny I really like the new recipe over the old. The switch was warranted and I think the new style will help Yards reap the rewards it’s due. Easy drinking ale.

Yellow. Slightly thick palate but is still easy to drink. Has a decent taste that I was pleased with.

Pours with a nice thick head, golden color and very cloudy. Smells and tastes of hops. If that’s your thing you will probably like this beer. If not, look elsewhere.
