COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Yards proudly donates $1 from every case sold to breast cancer research and awareness. So when you drink PYNK, you are helping us do more good. Cheers to that! Yards PYNK is a beer like no other. We add 3,300 pounds of sour and sweet cherries and raspberries to each batch, resulting in a tart berry ale that’s effervescent and pleasantly pink in color. Delighting the palette, this light-bodied brew finishes refreshingly dry.

Poured from the bottle. Pours a crystal clear pinkish color with a bit of a gold hue to it. Head is creamy pink and goes from almost two fingers to almost nothing fairly quickly. Aroma is dominated by raspberry, followed by sour cherry, and then some wheat malt sweetness. Tastes follow the aromas with a bit more of the sour cherry giving a nice dose of tartness and last of the finish is typical wheat malt. This is quite refreshing and tasty. Need to have a blind taste test with this and a UFO raspberry hefeweizen from Harpoon.

Bottle. Clear red orange pour with a finger of head. Actually very beautiful. Berry, citrus, bread, floral. Acidic and sour. Does not have the depth or complexity. But not bad

Clear candy-red colored body, thin pinkish layer of bubbles, sparse lacing. Raspberry Jolly Ranchers, light lactic yogurt. Medium to light bodied, assertive sweetness, mild carbonation, lingering artificial finish. Ok. Just not my kind of fruit beer.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright red-plum color with a medium sized soapy white head that faded quickly and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was musty and dust with a bit of tart vague berries. The flavor was dryish and tart with vague berries, dust, must and cracker. Medium length tart berry finish. Light to medium body. Meh.

Location: Draft at HopsScotch, 1/17/14

Aroma: The nose is fruity/raspberry and yeasty mostly, some wheaty notes as well
Appearance: It pours a clear pinkish-red color with an off-white colored head on it
Flavor: The flavor of this one is a little bit sweet and a little bit tart, balanced between the two
Palate: The body is on the lighter side, leans a little fizzy, with a clean, tart finish
Overall Impression: I thought this one was a nice fruit beer. Sometimes these beers get way too sweet, but this one does a nice job of balancing the tartness and sweetness.

From notes: Poured clear amber with a touch of red and a 1-finger bone-colored head. Yeasty aroma with some sour cherry. Medium body, oily and somewhat fizzy with a sour finish. Flavor of berry with a sour note at the back, and a touch of citrus underneath as it warms.

Tap at Eulogy Tavern, PHL, 30/11/13. Almost clear reddish amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is canided sugars, berry fruit dipped straw. Taste comprises pink berry fruits, red grapefruit, citric tang, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation with a little prickle. Ok fruit effort - BBQ beer on a hot summers day but not one I’d wish to see again.
