COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beautifully complex, boldly hopped, amber-colored IPA uses rye malt to give the beer a subtle spiciness. It’s bittered with Bravo and Nugget hops before heading to the hop back packed with whole flower Chinook. Finally, we bomb it with Centennial, Citra, Simcoe, and Columbus, creating a pungent ale with intense notes of citrus and pine.

Pours a clear mahogany brown with a medium slight tan head. This beer looks amazing. Aroma is earthy, rye and citrus. Taste is moderate bitters with a hint of spiciness. Medium bodied, smooth with crisp quick finish.

Bottled 12/16/2014. This was poured into a nonic. The appearance was a nice looking hazy burnt orange to ruddy red color with barely any head to it. What lacing is there slides. The smell starts off with a fairly decent sweet to light spicy rye malt. There’s a slight sweet fresh grassiness to it. The taste took the sweet/spicy rye and allowed in a tad caramel malt to balance. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed good for the style though a bit old on the date, still I bet if fresher, this would portray everything necessary for a good Rye IPA. Overall, I get it. It works for me as a Rye AIPA. Hopefully, I’ll find another fresher.

Nice pour from bottle with red brown. White head. Sweet rye bread but a bit harsh and overly hopped.

12oz bottle. Small beige head atop clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, pine, lemon/grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet, light bread up front before the swallow turns to lemon, some rye, pine, light grapefruit. Creamy light-medium body with light rye burn.

That bocktwon monaca sure is a nice place. This was on tap there. Big head on this rye smellin IPA. Some lacing, no co2 on the palate. Typical rude roto tillin taste across my buds. What else can be said except that it’s freshly and terribly on style. Go figger.

Draft at Milkboy. Clear medium-light copper pour with a strong cover of tan froth and lace. Spicy rye hops add a nice bitterness to an otherwise sweet malty brew. Clove spiked oranges. Black pepper. Strong spicy citrus. But fails for me on multiple levels.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear dark Amber/copper color with an off-white head about 1/2" thick. Aroma of sweet malt and spice from the rye. Medium body, nice balance of malt and hops. Light taste of the in the taste and the finish which sticks around for a bit. Nice beer, could definitely have a few of these.

12 Fl.Oz. Bottle from Dover Liquor Depot (Dover, DE). Poured clear, dark amber, medium white head and nice lacing on the glass. Aroma pine, citrus fruit and some malts. Taste is also malty, some hops and some fruit notes. Decent beer but not my favorite from Yards.

Pours a clear copper color with aroma of rye, spice, grapefruit, and caramel. Caramel, rye, spice flavor with some grapefruit. Very nice beer.
