COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Saisons were originally brewed to keep farmhands happy and hydrated during the warm summer months. True to the style, Yards’ Saison is a semi-unfiltered Belgian style ale brewed with distinctive Belgian yeast. It’s delicate and fruity with a subtle spiciness. Styrian Goldings in the kettle lend a touch of hop to the palate, balancing out this highly drinkable version of the classic style. Available April through July or until supplies last.

12 oz bottle. Poured w/1 in head of bright white foam...nice laces on my tulip glass. Slight saison haze, more amber than orange in colour. Nice Belgian funk on the nose...got a bit of banana as we'll. Very well-attenuated...fresh, effervescent. Typical spices/fruits on the tongue...some tart /sour as well. Excellent example of style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pear and banana nose, lemongrass. Fairly clear golden, thick lacy head. Full body, lacks carbonation, warm. Apricot and lemon. Grain husks on the back of the palate are actually not out of place. Drinks a bit heavy, not super refreshing, but enjoyable.

Tap at Birroteca. Cloudy amber, pretty sparkles, offwhite cream. Citric light flowery nose. Creamy sparkly mouthfeel, fruity base, apples, pears, mango, grassy finish, a hint salt.

Couple of pints on tap. Lightly hazy golden with a ring of cream. Mild aroma of earthy must and spicy bread. Tastes of lemon, earthy toast and maybe a touch of white grape. Light-medium body has medium-high carbonation and is well balanced.

Sampled at AC Beerfest (2014). Poured a slightly hazy dark golden color with a small foamy off white head. Aroma of bready malts, orange zest, yeast, and hints of spice. Taste of sweet bready malts, light orange citrus, yeast, with a mild spiciness.

On draft, in a tulip at Woodberry Kitchen on my birthday! Golden amber with bubbly white head and strong lacing. A sweet fresh baked bread essence with orange marmalade and spice on the nose and palate... Easy to drink... Paired well with the crab pot. Very nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle into tulip glass, slight hazy golden color with off-white head. Aroma of pale malt, bread, mild spices (mainly clove) and slightly metallic. Taste seems to have more happening; added notes of pepper, citrus (lemon, orange rind), more spices (rosemary, lemongrass) and some grass. Light body, moderate carbonation, effervescent, crisp with slight yeasty finish. Decent sessionable saison.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured a bit hazy, Deep orange, with a think white head, nice lacing on the head. Aroma is yeasty and fruity with some spices (clove maybe). Taste is citrusy and spicy (a bit peppery), finishes a bit dry but still quite refreshing. Not a bad summer beer.

Poured orange/gold with a thin, bubbly head. Aroma is floral with a bit of orange peel. Taste is citrus (mostly orange) with a nice crisp, dry finish. Pleasantly surprised at how good this one was.
