Poured a slightly hazy golden yellow with wisps of clouds from the sediment swirling through the glass. There was a medium tall foamy off-white head that left some light lacing. There were some carbonation bubbles rising up in the glass. The aroma was grassy with some citrus notes. The beer had a crisp clean initial taste with good carbonation. There was a light tartness with a citrus flavor initially with some malty sweetness towards the middle. The finish became more bitter than tart and on the dry side. It was a refreshing finish.

Pours a yellowish color with a white head. Smells like peppercorns. I like peppercorns. Taste has a bunch of yeast and wheat in it. Little bits of pepper. Different from the other saisons I have drank.

12oz bottle from State Line. Pale straw gold pour, with a crisp and fairly frothy carbonation. Youthful and quite fresh is the appearance. Nose is only faintly sweet, and conveys for the most part the dry hops and yeast that I crave. Body is slightly too prickly in places, but not overwhelmingly so. I enjoyed the interplay of yeasts and malts in the initial wave of the flavors, but the brew tended to get rather one-dimensionally dry and spicy from there. That’s certainly a single dimension I vastly prefer to others - grassy over sweet every time for a saison - but it’s hard to conclude that this is anything other than average.

Had the early 2007 version quite a while ago. Looks like a good hefe in the glass. Somewhat metallic farm instrument aroma. Taste is bright, lots of sharper bitter stuff going on there. Good carbonation. Goes creamy during the session. Lots of bitter unripe green odd citrus rind thing doing it to ya. Good overall experience.

Tap. Hazy brighter light yellow with a fluffy white head. Aroma is mostly mealy and grain, with some light fruit notes. Flavor follows the same lines as the aroma, but a touch of slight sour and a sweeter finish. Lighter to medium body with bubbly carbonation. Not bad.
