From tap poured a hazy orange/yellow color, with a good amount of head. Nice sweet/fruity flavor with a quick aftertaste.

before i open this i get the feeling that this is nothing like a real saison. definitely no brett which is good. aroma is mostly lemony. this beer is pretty much a sweeter belgian wit. lemony, a little spice, and candi sugar. overall, quite refreshing but very pedestrian.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Goodgrief (1720) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - SEP 11, 2007
Nov. 2005 - Beer poured pale yellow color with very nice head that lasted until the end (there was even some foam sitting at the bottom of the glass). Aroma was yeasty, hay-like. The flavor reflected a pretty good saison imitation, but it was a little thin and watery. Just not rich enough in the flavor department. This might make a good thirst-quencher (if you EVER try to quench your thirst using beer) after mowing the lawn or something, though.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 tronraner (2459) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - AUG 26, 2007
Bottle shared by decaturstevo with myself, Suttree, and SpringsLicker. Pours cloudy bright yellow with enormous white head and a few particles. The aroma is "stinky" though not in a bad way... horsey, some lemon, touch of goat cheese, some cumin. The flavor is mild spice, lemon zest, and light bread. Refreshing but not very bold.

Do you know what’s fun to say? "Session Saison". Say it. its fun. Anyway, this is a very tasty but unassuming beer. Some of the usual saison players - coriander, orange. Tasty beer. Thanks to decaturstevo for this one!
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 zebracakes (1339) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 19, 2007
Bottle purchased at D’s Six Pax, Pittsburgh. Pours hazy yellow, thin white head. Aroma is a bit diluted: funky, musty, tangy, sour, a little bit meaty, a little bit cheesy. Flavor is sour dough and bleu cheese, some meat, but very watery. Disappointingly weak.

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2007 An everyday South Philly style saison. Good tasting session pale ale with a helping of coriander and Belgian style yeast flavoring.

8/02/2007: Yard’s Saison is cloudy and has a foamy off-white head that doesn’t last very long. The color is mostly golden with a brownish hue to it. Yeasty, mildly sweet fruit citrus, wheat, and hints of grass and spice can be found in the aroma. The flavor is made up of bready malt, hints of banana and spice, lemon, and has a slightly grassy and bitter finish. The body is medium-light and not overly carbonated. Overall this beer is tangy and refreshing.
12 fl. oz. bottle (bonus) from my first trade with jasonmech77. Thanks Jason! I appreciate it. Rating #179 for this beer...
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 theisti (2821) - Leawood, Kansas, USA - JUL 31, 2007
12 oz bottle from Secret Santa. Pour is a slightly hazy very light white yellow with a lot of bubbles. Aroma is coriander, citrus and a tiny bit of earthiness. Taste is a lot of citrus - mostly on the lemon side of the scale. Pretty ordinary beer, though it was nicely situated somewhere between a Saison and a Wit. Santa was looking out for my favorite style, which is very cool.

Bottle. Spicy aroma, coriander and orange rind with some nutmeg and caramel. Yeasty and herbal. Golden pour with a big stream of bubbles shooting right up from the center. Head is clingy, white, airy, soft, rocky, and big. Crisp mf, big malt with lemon juice and orange rind, pepper and yeast with coriander entering before the whole thing dries out. Some notes of wheat. Medium-light body, smooth and crisp. Nice little guy!
