Odd tasting beer. You can taste the spruce flavor. Not a beer that you will drink more than one in one shot.

Brownish pour. Plain head. Herbal root tang. Notes of ginger predominant. Interesting pint.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Bertha's in Fells Point, Baltimore, MD.
Clear amber with an off-white head and excellent lacing.
Aroma of caramel, honey and spruce.
Taste of honey, pine, toffee, herbs, a gingery spiciness, spruce (which only comes through when the beer warms up) and orange.
Medium body and medium carbonation with a slightly tingling mouthfeel--perhaps from the ginger.
Normally I am not a fan of honey-flavored beers, but this one balances it nicely with the spruce, malt and spiciness.

Lots of honey, a somewhat subdued spruce note, and some grainy tastes too. Not a bad beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a somewhat transparent golden yellow with a one finger white foamy head that quickly died and barely left any lacing.
The smell had some spruce and light honey.
The taste was sweet and alower some light spruce to come through.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionable quality about it.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good beer I’d have again.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A strange, decently tasting beer. Has a coniferous quality to it though its different from your NW hops experience. Has a bite, but its sweeter.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from sampler pack. Pours clear tawny brown with creamy beige head. Aroma is caramel and bready malts, light spice, light raisin, and some faint woody notes. Flavor is dry malts, light spice, faint cocoa, and faint hops; dry finish that seems to evaporate out of your mouth. Medium body and carbonation.
