3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ryanscourt (277) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 15, 2013
Not totally sure what is going on here but doesnt seem like a whole lot. Strong beer but alcohol is well hidden. There seems to be some caramel malt flavor as well as some sweetness, and pine.

Strong solid ale. Medium body not too heavy and packs a punch yet very drinkable. Piney hops and strong barley notes throughout.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 tcane7 (807) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 31, 2013
Bottle at Seasons 52. Pours a clean amber with some off white head and lace. Nose of roasted malt, caramel, doughy yeast. Somewhat creamy, sweet but not very boozy. A little nutty with hints of vanilla.

Appearance: Pours a dark caramel cloud.
Aroma: Aroma of bready malt.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jkwood04 (2288) - Connecticut, USA - JAN 18, 2013
12oz bottle in a lager glass. Pours amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of pale and caramel malts plus some floral hops and dough. Flavor about the same, with a surprisingly small presence of alcohol. Average texture. An interesting beer, and if it’s the recipe that Thomas Jefferson actually drank then I feel privileged to have had this beer.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 Dacrza (335) - Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Situation: a Lego-rebuilding Thursday night...
Glassware: Howard’s Pub pint...
Appearance: bright orangee body with a thick, frothy white head...steady effervescence...
Aroma: floral and citric as expected...robust and pleasant...
Palate: nicely balanced, medium-nodied ale; creamy smooth, fortified beeyond the average weight...at 8% abv, the alcohol is not overstated here...
Taste: sprucey, hoppy, aggressively biting with citric-orange at the fore...entirely drinkable, despite its strength...
Overall: a beautiful, simple reminder of what an ale can be--strong but drinkable, aggressive but rewarding--worth the sampler purchase by itself...
2.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Claymeister (55) - USA - DEC 28, 2012
12 oz bottle. Pours a copper color with a small white head. Aroma is bready, grains and some pine. Light body and somewhat watery. Alcohol is well disguised for 8%. This beer was a disappointment for me and not impressive.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 markwise (3803) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - DEC 23, 2012
12oz bottle courtesy of jcartamdg. Pours a very pretty clear orage-yellow with a white head. Nose is some sweet malts, some bready malts, some spice that tastes of green raisins with some mild bitterness. Flavor follows with some nice malt, some bread, some mild hops, mild citrus, and a spice that comes off to me like green raisins. Light in body and no sense of 8% alcohol. Interesting beer overall.
