Cask (gravity) @ NWAF 10, National Winter Ales Festival, The Venue, Sheridan Suite, Manchester, England.

Alc. 5.5%. Clear dark brown color with a average, creamy to frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, berry, smoke notes, moderate hoppy, light alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, sweet sweet. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic. Quit alcoholic of a 5.5% beers but maybe the program was wrong and it is 7.6% as on ratebeer ! Pigs Ear. Clear very dark brown beer. Softish palate, a bit dry. Rich malt with a slight dark feel. Not bitter. Very well balanced with rich dark fruit. Finishes with more dark character malt - almost coffee like. Light and dry.
