Color is almost v8 juice red. Aroma is of raspberries and hints of red wine. Taste is of raspberries. Sour and light. Carbonation is light and adds to fruit aromas and taste. Mouthfeel is medium. Definitely lingers a bit. Quite good. *bomber into plastic cup. YOLO. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Murky reddish purple. Nose was odd, started off fairly muted with some wet oak, light cherry notes, light red wine but became very similar to Atrial Rubicite after some time with great raspberry notes. Taste unfortunately didn’t follow. Moderately sour with some oak and light balsamic.

Bottle shared downtown during RBWG Asheville Late-Nite. Cheers! Pours clear gold with a bubbly crown. Acetic, bracingly sour, with prominent citric lemon bite. Light bodied with average carbonation. Very tart on the finish, quenching, with heavy acidity, berry fruits. It’s bracing and intense.

Sample from Batch 2 at Denver Rare Beer Tasting VII on 09/25/2015. Clear brownish-red color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of tart fruit, oak and yeast. Medium body with flavors of vinous oak, earthy yeast and biscuit malt. The finish is moderately sour with a red wine and oak aftertaste.

Somewhere between a 2 and 4oz bottle pour at SAVOR 2015’s Saturday night session. Poured a dark ruby color, hazy. Small tan head. Aroma was caramel, with notes of cereal, citrus, light lemon notes. Light funky notes. Tart and delicious.

750 ml. labeled as "Embrace the Funk Deux Rouges Ale", batch two. Big aroma of tart cherry jumps out of the bottle, joined later by some raisin, red wine and touches of toffee and chocolate. Pours lightly foggy, copper-brown with a lasting thin film of foam. Prominent sour berry/cherry flavor is mellowed a bit by some vanilla cream, toasted oak and dates. Long aftertaste of earthy-spiced (almost cinnamon) cherry, toasted oak and cream is very nice. The barreling is well done; I thought it would be too much wine flavor, but it provides a nice balance to the huge sour and is barely noticeable. Medium body has too much CO2. Pairs well with a hot dog.

Draft. Musty dry berry malt and straw aroma. Dark amber with small head. Sweet-tart cherry, toffee malt, and dry hay flavor. Good body. Very nice.

Draft to taster at the Midwest Sour + Wild + Funk Fest in Indianapolis yesterday. Looks good; a hazy amber with foamy very light beige head. Smells solid; semi-tart and oaky with notes of cherry. Tastes like it smells, but more tart and lactic, with a pleasantly tart medium-bodied mouthfeel. Good stuff.
