An authentic example of a Bavarian hefeweizen, cloudy and tart, with notes of banana and citrus. Gold Medal winner in the Bavarian hefeweizen category at the 2004 Great American Beer Festivala and Bronze Medal winner at the 2012 Great American Beer Festival!

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle from shrubber85 poured into a weizen glass. Aroma is big clove, medium/light body, medium/light body, medium/well carbonated, little small-bubble lacing. Taste is clove, banana, bubblegum, and yeasty backbone. One of the finest American hefeweizens I have had.

Pour on tap, hazy golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of biscuit, wheat, some slight coriander and clove into a bit of white fruit, slight lemon. Taste was a mix of wheat, grass, lemon into a bit of biscuit, bread, some spice into a hint of vanilla, finishing slightly sweet, slightly dry.

This poured a hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma was of banana, light spice and wheat grain. Flavor was lemon, cracked wheat, banana and clove. A nice example of the style.

on tap at Yazoo, decent little hefe, more pee yellow than I would have expected and touch thinner body than I thought it should have been, smidge of bubblegum lots of banana, no real clove spiciness that I would have thought. not bad.

Picked up while driving through TN. For a hefe, this is pretty decent stuff. Pours that typical cloudy yeasty yellow orange. Aromas of banana, clove, citrus, funk from the yeast. Taste is fairly light tang and sweetness. Medium light carb and medium light body.

Banana aroma. Not overpowering. Really a very nice wheat beer. My favorite from Yazoo so far.
