COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An authentic example of a Bavarian hefeweizen, cloudy and tart, with notes of banana and citrus. Gold Medal winner in the Bavarian hefeweizen category at the 2004 Great American Beer Festival!

Draft at Taco Mac Chattanooga. Pours only somewhat opaque yellow with a thin white head. Big banana notes on the nose. Nice banana taste on the tongue but there’s enough hoppiness so it doesn’t become cloying. Clean finisher. An outstanding example of the style.

Bottle with gooovikings in KC. Thanks Jetson! Moderately cloudy, golden yellow-orange appearance with a white head. Spicy, yeasty, light banana, light clove, moderately citrusy nose. Yeasty, wheat malty flavor that’s spicy and citrusy with milder banana and clove notes. One of the best American German Hefeweizen beers out there.

Another mystery bottle from under the folks’ stairs. Pretty classic hefe pour with a nice white head and serious carbonation. Aroma flavor also pretty true to form including some nice lemony citrus notes. Pleasant

Pours a slightly hazy solar yellow with a thin white head - not impressive, but I am prejudiced in favor of dark beers, so I’ll go easy since it’s a hefe. Strong aroma is wheaty and yeasty with a slightly sweet lemon overtone. Yummy flavor is wheaty and yeasty and has a firm citrus undertone. There is a slight soapy hint, but this comes and goes. Texture is thick, smooth and finely fizzy. A good summer beer.

12oz bottle from 2011 secret Santa. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Nose is banana, bread, esters, lemon, and vague lemon peel. Flavor is similar with lemon, banana, bread, and esters. Finish is similar with lemon and banana that lingers for a minute then disappears. Interesting beer.

Bottle pours a cloudy yellow with a thin white head. Scent of bananas and wheat. Taste is wheat and seltzer.....

Pours a hazy yellow with some lacing and a decent white head. Good carbonation. Aromas of bananas, Juicy Fruit gum and wheat and grass. Taste is good with ripe fruity-banana and bubble gum then a little lemon. Great hefe.
