3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Another solid hop project. This one pours a dark amber color and has a thin off-white head and some decent lacing. The aroma is of hops and some spice and little citrus. A little too much bitterness to be a session beer, but one that you can have two or three of without blowing up.

The Lost Notebook Files Beer #6. Picket this brew up on a trip last year to Knoxville. Learned about Tennessee’s preposterous beer laws while there. Look ’em up. Pours light amber. Lively mouthfeel. Nice citrus hop character. Bottle - Bearden Beer Market - Knoxville, TN

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Beautiful decadent aroma, grass, grapefruit, slight malty undertones of caramel, sandalwood, pine, resin. Appearance is very good holding the thin heady line all the way down with good lacing. Grapefruit abounds in the taste with the pine and grass showing up as well. Wonderful bitterness fall as a smokey, earthy, grassy, resin like flavor shows through. Very impressed! Great palate feel, great linger. Great beer. Keep it up Yazoo, and find one project to stick with! This one..

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thanks to RJ for the bottle. Pours an amber color with a thin off-white head. The nose is intensely fruity, almost like a grapefruit/citrus Jolly Rancher. Quite a bit of caramel and sugar, maybe some tropical fruit notes in the background. The flavor is also on the sweet side, but enjoyable. Lots of citrus notes, a bit of candy, some light pine, and a floral note to the beer as well.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottled 4/18/12. can’t really make out the batch# but a bit of sleuth work narrowed me down to this. supposedly contains the english hop varieties of challenger, progress, and target. lots of toffee and sweet fruits in the nose. a bready ipa with a big malt backbone and a nearly full body, but oddly, some cardboard notes as well. hops are fruity and toned down a notch with flavors like apples, unripe peach, and minty herbal notes. my first beer from TN, after rating beers for seven years in GA. where ya at?

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bright amber with some light white lacing. nose is sweet, some strawberry, ludens cherry cough drops, faded pine, lots of caramel. Flavor is sweet as well but more balanced than the nose suggests, more red fruits, medium to heavy bitterness.

12oz bottle thanks to RJ5020, pours a deep amber with a small khaki head. Aroma of caramel malts, tea, with some citrus and spice. Taste of caramel malts and earthy dough with spicy bitter hops and citrus on the edges. Very enjoyable!

Very India pale ale. More bitter than hoppy. Still very good and can’t wait to try the next hop project.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. bottle from jbrana- thanks again, Justin! Pours a rich red-amber color, not quite dark enough to call mahogany, with just a small level of cloudiness and an inch of off-white head and settles into an uneven film with some trailing lace. Aroma of toasted and caramel malts, leafy hops, tea, fruitcake, cookies, and a hint of spice (nutmeg?). Flavor of tea, leafy hops, mild spice, grapefruit, and then some sweetness caramel and toasted malts and brown sugar. A bitter, wet, grassy note in the middle. Finishes dry and toasty after a tea-like start. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation. Nice IPA, and one of the better Hop Projects I’ve had.
