3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
It has been a while since I have rated a hop project. I felt compelled because I really enjoyed this one. Amber in color with a thin but full off-white head. There isnít a ton on lacing, but enough to remind you of what once was. I really like the aroma. Iím getting some grape fruit and pine. It really smells good. After thinking about it for a minute, this beer reminds me a lot of Bridgeportís IPA. Iíll get another 6 pack of this before they move on to #76.

Golden amber color, medium white head. Nice aroma of grapefruit, pine. Taste is earthy citrus, pine resin. Decent.

2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
From tap, pours a nice amber with no head. Smells like a lemony citrus candy...Very interesting and cool smell. Taste is unbalanced. You can see that they stressed the hops, but I canít trek what hops they used, and the malt balance is severely lacking. Thereís also an undesirable saltiness that lingers throughout...but makes everything taste almost soapy. Finishes a bit sticky.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tasted on 12/24/13 from a capped 12oz bottle purchased at Midtown. Pours clear, red-tinged copper with an average off-white head that slowly recedes to fairly thick lace, sticking to the side of the glass. The nose is full of fresh and sticky resin hops, a savory, herbal sage note, grapefruit rind, a touch of caramel malt, and a pretty aggressive earthy yeast aroma. The flavor is much the same with the pine resin, grapefruit peel, and earthy yeast taking center stage. The body is medium with just under average carbonation and a long grapefruit peel and pine resin finish.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
bottle, the best beer brewed in Tennessee, this one is a piney resin bomb, good malts to support the hop presence

2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Dark brown, decent head. Smells like caramel, dirt and mushroom. Tastes terrible. Dirty, earthy malt (CHANGE THIS! The malts or whatever it is really overshadow a lot of the hop blends. Itís terrible. Is this crystal malt? Iím really starting to hate it.) Mushroom, funky flavors, as well a dose of butter. Some grapey, fruity notes. Did they mean for it to taste like this?

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. Burnt orange-amber body is lively and supports a quarter inch of meringue foam on top. Nose is toffee and earthy soured orange with a light topping of resin. Taste is orange toffee, cream, earthy resin, tea leaf, and a bitter finish of pith and cardboard. Light-medium body is smooth with medium carbonation and well balanced except for the long, overly bitter finish.
