COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The tan lace clings to the glass as you raise the pint to your lips. Close your eyes and smile as the rich espresso notes fade to a dry, roasted finish. Exceptionally smooth and satisfying. Made with English Pale malt, roasted barley, black patent malt, and flaked barley. Hopped with East Kent Goldings and Target hops, and fermented with our English ale yeast.

Tap at Taco Mac Chattanooga - Pours black with a faint tan head. No lacing on the glass. Aroma is if coffee, but faint. Taste is sweet coffee with a dry finish. Palate is thin. Overall, this is a pretty bland stout.

Aroma is faint coffee, licorice, and soy sauce. Appearance is pitch black with small head. Flavor is bitter and a little odd with coffee and soy sauce. Overall sorry locals Id take Guinness over this.

Had this both regular and nitro. I was told that the Nitro was actually a different recipe but from an article I just read online that was written by Linus, he said it was the same recipe so I’m doing both reviews here.....Regular- Black, frothy light brown head. Aroma of sweet oats and caramel. Taste is pretty mild, some roast, some ashiness. 7 4 7 3 13 Decent......Nitro- same appearance with the exception of the denser head because of the nitro. Aroma was much more pronounced, lots of roast malt, coffee, sweet grains. Taste was also better, packed way more flavor, lots of toasted malt, coffee. Very nice. 8 4 8 4 15.

On tap at the brewery. Pours dark brown with a well-formed two-finger beige head. Aroma is roast, coffee, molasses, and hops. Flavor is a little weak, but hell, it is 3.8%. Roasted malt, coffee, molasses, slight caramel, and nuts. Pretty watery on the palate. Would like more body to it. Overall this is a nice "session stout" if there is such a thing, but not my first pick by any means if I’m at Yazoo.

Pitch black color with a dark brown head- this is darker than most any dry stout I’ve seen. Aroma is lightly roasted malt and mineral water. Flavor is thin and smooth. Slight hoppiness makes it taste like an ESB. Very drinkable, but a little too thin. On Tap at Yazoo Brewery.

Lacing tan head with a dark brown body. Aromas of coffee and roasted malts. Flavor is much the same. Little thin but dry finish.

Roasted malts and coffee flavors. Dry as can be. Decent amount of hops for a stout. Liked that. Slightly watery and one note. Didn’t like that. This is a weak stout in flavor and alcohol content. Needs improvement.

Taproom. Dark pour, little to no head. Smells and tastes of coffee, roast, caramel or molasses. Piney/earthy hopped subtly. Thinner than expected. A bit of smokiness. Really like...
