COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The tan lace clings to the glass as you raise the pint to your lips. Close your eyes and smile as the rich espresso notes fade to a dry, roasted finish. Exceptionally smooth and satisfying. Made with English Pale malt, roasted barley, black patent malt, and flaked barley. Hopped with East Kent Goldings and Target hops, and fermented with our English ale yeast.

Nice floral hop aroma. Apperance is copper color. Good initial taste and continues through. Had at the Yazoo brewery, canít remember the batch number. My favorite of all their beers that you can normally find in TN

12 oz, bottled 02-21-2013. Opaque with a quarter inch topping of creamy bubbles. Nose of espresso, graham cracker, caramel and ash. Taste is espresso, hickory smoke, marshmallow, tart berries and cream. Finishes with ash and piquant green herb. Near-medium body has light-medium carbonation and is balanced with a dry roasty finish. Great session stout in the traditional style.

Draft. Served in a Shaker pint glass. Pours black with no head. (Lack of foam could be the serverís fault, not the beer itself.) Medium-low carbonation. Coffee and roasted malt aromas. Palate is a bit thinner than I expected; more like an Irish Dry than an American Stout. Predominate flavor of coffee. Bitterness is low; just enough hops for complexity. A smooth, easy-drinking stout. Iíd have this again.

Real nice roasty coffee flavors, same on the nose. Nice frothy tan head. Only complaint is not a big enough body.

Pours opaque blacl, brown lacing. Nose is full of rich cocoa amd coffee bean. Palate is rich hot chocolate and cafe au lait. Great balance, rich flavor but not too filling or too sweet. Awesome with a pork sandwich.

Tap at Yazoo brewery poured from Growler. Pours a gorgeous tan head with brown/tan lace all over the glass. Immediate Smokey coffee flavor is really nice. Coffee flavor is not too strong and the finish is a creamy malt texture. A real treat! Yazoo scored on this batch!

Aroma is faint coffee, licorice, and soy sauce. Appearance is pitch black with small head. Flavor is bitter and a little odd with coffee and soy sauce. Overall sorry locals Id take Guinness over this.

Had this both regular and nitro. I was told that the Nitro was actually a different recipe but from an article I just read online that was written by Linus, he said it was the same recipe so Iím doing both reviews here.....Regular- Black, frothy light brown head. Aroma of sweet oats and caramel. Taste is pretty mild, some roast, some ashiness. 7 4 7 3 13 Decent......Nitro- same appearance with the exception of the denser head because of the nitro. Aroma was much more pronounced, lots of roast malt, coffee, sweet grains. Taste was also better, packed way more flavor, lots of toasted malt, coffee. Very nice. 8 4 8 4 15.
