COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A new version of an American classic. Our Yazoo Pale Ale bursts with spicy, citrusy hop aroma and flavor, coming from the newly discovered Amarillo hop. The wonderful hop aroma is balanced nicely with a toasty malt body, ending with a cleansing hop finish. Made with English Pale, Munich, Vienna, and Crystal malts, and generously hopped with Amarillo, Perle, and Cascade hops. Fermented with our English ale yeast.

Solid hop content in this one. Light, citrus flavor; light pour with a cream head. I know this is a generic, short post, but I really don’t feel like elaborating further.

Not bad. Nice hops flavor with a sweet body. Citrus flavors dominate from the hops. Mild but pretty good.

Bottle; hazy orange with medium white head; aroma-citrus, floral, hay; taste-light sweetness, heavy bitter. Moderate carbonation. Very decent.

Tasted on 9/5/11 from a 12oz bottle out of a sampler twelve pack purchased at Midtown, bottled Jul 03, 2011. Pours hazy, bright, orange with an average, pure white head that slowly recedes to uneven lace, leaving some lace residue along the inside of the glass. The nose is lightly toasted and caramelized malt with some underlying spicy and citrus hops, with a light herbal note as well. The flavor is the same, with the lightly sweet toasty caramel malt flavor up front, moving to the citrus, spicy, and herbal hops. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long, toasted malt and lightly bitter and spicy citrus hops finish.

Draft. Pale tan color. Smells of hops, malt and rice. Taste is easy drinking and mildly hoppy. Good

UPDATED: SEP 4, 2011 Had this on draft at the yahoo tap room. Initially I didn’t care much for it, but it grew on me. Pretty good pale ale.

TN bottle from the stairs stash. Pours fairly typically with nice carbonation and on the browner side of gold. Pretty nice aroma of sweet hops, a little bitterness and malty finish. Pretty tasty overall with nice bitterness. Maybe just a touch light overall.

As far as APA’s go, this is probably my least favorite. Has a grassy/hay taste to me.
