COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A new version of an American classic. Our Yazoo Pale Ale bursts with spicy, citrusy hop aroma and flavor, coming from the newly discovered Amarillo hop. The wonderful hop aroma is balanced nicely with a toasty malt body, ending with a cleansing hop finish. Made with English Pale, Munich, Vienna, and Crystal malts, and generously hopped with Amarillo, Perle, and Cascade hops. Fermented with our English ale yeast.

Tap: This Nashville brewery needs to go back to the drawing table for the recipe on this one. Clear copper color with a small white head. Mild hop and grassy aroma. The flavor is soapy with a funky semi-bitter aftertaste. It’s just not that good.

Slightly hazy medium dark amber with a head that quickly reduces to a thin cover; dots and lines of lace. The taste is typical of American Pale Ales: toasted malt, hop presence in the palate, lingering hops through the finish. Simple, to the point, drinkable, maybe in Nashville it would be a regular choice.

Bottle. And basically a slightly hoppy amber ale. Very malt forward and most of the hope character comes in the form of a slight, lingering bitterness. Overly sweet. Doesn’t make me want to come back for more.

12 apr 2013, bottle. Light gold, clear, occasional bubbles. Nose is papaya and wet malt. Thin/med body and moderately fizzy. Lightly grassy, fresh cracked malt. Okay. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

After I sent a bottle of this to StefanSD, I realized that after having this many times (one of the few decent beers in the fridge at a place I gig at), I had neglected to rate it. Pours amber, with a firm white head. Hops come off very fruity in the aroma, like peach. Fresh, the hop flavor is crisp, lightly fruited, somewhat woody, with a clean finish. Dry medium bitter finish.

12 oz bottle courtesy of Monte. Thanks. Pours a cloudy copper color with a small white head that soon fades to a fine film. The aroma mild with sweet caramel and some spicy hops. The taste is mild pine, biscuit and caramel. The palate is light and the carbonation is lively. Finishes short and clean. Overall: Not a bad pale ale but not much to recommend it either.

Poured from draft at corner tap in Nashville. Clear orange pour with a ton of foamy head. Bitter taste. Someways floral and fruity but basically bland. Just ok

Muddy orange-amber with scant, white head / Mild nose of citrus and caramel / Medium body, low carbonation, some sweet and sour, with little hop bite or bitter finish / Muddled, undistinguished flavors of grapefruit, caramel, pine, and soap / Pleasant enough, but well below average.

Pungent citrus with a touch of pine aroma. Beautifully clear with a toasted rocky head. Very reserved hop profile and a fairly straightforward malt profile include a touch of sweetness with what seems to be maybe wheat malt? Borderline soapy flavor with a very crisp clean mouthfeel/finish. Overall the brew is exceptionally well brewed, but seems more like an APA from the early 90s, I wanted more hop punch, more malt backbone, and I don’t care for the ’wheat’(?) grain flavor. It’s bittered to style, but lacks hop-punch in terms of flavor and aroma.

Pours golden with a mostly receding off-white head. Notes of pine, coarse earthy hops, resin and pale malt. Medium bodied, lightly resinous with moderate carbonation.

Good pale ale out of Nashville Tennessee. Pleasant hoppy aroma to start with, and a decent froth. It has a mild hoppy taste with hints of citrus. It has a burnt orange color with a decent palate.
