A new version of an American classic. Our Yazoo Pale Ale bursts with spicy, citrusy hop aroma and flavor, coming from the newly discovered Amarillo hop. The wonderful hop aroma is balanced nicely with a toasty malt body, ending with a cleansing hop finish. Made with English Pale, Munich, Vienna, and Crystal malts, and generously hopped with Amarillo, Perle, and Cascade hops. Fermented with our English ale yeast.

Pint on draft, pours an orangey amber, hazy. On the nose some caramel biscuit notes. Taste was light citrus fruit hops, largely malt driven, decent pale ale

Bottle. The aroma has notes of an amber ale more so than a pale. The taste is mild and light, not a lot to it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Yazoo, disappointed in this one, didn’t feel like an APA to me, not sure what it felt like but either this batch was getting long in the tooth or they have cut back on the hops, because this one had just a tiny smidge of amarillo and not much else, just a boring plain beer

wow...you can really taste and smell the amarillos and the crystal malt in particular, and they play together nicely. the aroma is both bready malt and spicy hops, as is the flavor. slightly creamy body. nice finish. thanks for another new one Louis."

Draft... On the way home from Muckfest 2014… Clear dirty-orange pour with a small, wispy white head. The nose consists of earthy and spicy hops melded with fruity, floral hops – big orange blossom honey here. This trends toward the sweet side of balance, but only by a hair. Moderately toasted malts and honey malt are enhanced by bright, flavorful hops. Bitterness is quite low and that’s just fine by me. Crisp lightly sweet finish with a faint kiss of buttery toffee - maybe a hint of diacetyl right there.

When in Nashville... Not an IPA. Just a simple, very drinkable ale. Nice balance. Smooth mouth feel. Wouldn’t travel all the way here for it, but a fine session ale.

From a bottle, taste like a copper penny and has an aftertaste of country music. Just about undrinkable. Pale ale only in name.
