A rich, chocolaty English Porter with a clean finish. We use the finest floor-malted Maris Otter malts from England, the same malts used for the best single-malt scotch. A portion of malted rye gives a spicy, slightly dry finish. OG: 14.40 Plato FG: 3.8 Plato IBUs: 28 SRM: 29 5.7% abv

Poured black with a tan head that has a thin layer lasting. Aroma of coffee and chocolate malts with a faint hint of rye as it warms. The flavor found toasted malts and chocolate. Full body with a malty aftertaste

On tap @ Yazoo. Pretty much black in color. Thereís a nice bit of tan foam to it as well. Really nice chocolate and dark roasted malts here. Some hints of coffee, maybe a touch of smoke, and a slight spiciness. Molasses-like quality to the flavor along with a bit of bittersweet chocolate, toast, and toffee. Lightly earthy and some coffee. Itís not too bitter nor too sweet. Pretty solid.

Refrigerated 12 oz. short brown bottle poured into a glass. Black with dark brow highlights and medium beige head. Aroma is nice dark malt, medium body, medium carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is rich dark malt, milk chocolate, and hints of rye. Expected just average beer, but Yazoo delivers another good beer.

This isnít on the level of Yazoo Sue. Thatís not saying itís a bad beer. Itís a well made porter, itís just nothing more than a well made porter.

Bottle Erica picked up for me from Nashville. Pours a dark brown with ruby tones and a thin tan head that diminishes very quickly. Aroma is roasty with hints of cocoa, dark fruit, and chocolate. Flavor is rich and chocolaty that finishes with a smooth, peppery finish. Well balanced!
