3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Light golden-amber body. Moderate sized white head. Solid lacing. Citric, grassy, and floral hops dominate both the flavor and nose. Soft pale malts also make themselves known. Medium bodied. Perhaps a bit undercarbonated with a silky soft feel. Light bitterness in the finish. Solid, but unremarkable IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at Den Tatovrede Enke. Awesome brewery name! Almost clear, light amber liquid with firm, medium off-white head with nice lacing. Aroma is perfumy and flowery with notes of citrus, mango, lemon grass, caramel and cereal. Taste is dry and medium bitter with notes of biscuity malt and flowery hops. Medium bodied with nicely soft carbonation and smooth mouthfeel. Probably one of the best mouthfeels I’ve even experienced in an IPA. Nice, balanced IPA.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Lovely, great fruity nose, note as much fruit on the palate, also less malty & ’fat’ than some of the NZ IPAs I love so much. Very drinkable and hides its’ alcohol content deceivingly well

Pours light pale yellow with a small white head. Nose is grapefruit and oranges, grass and bread dough. Taste is sweet for the most part but some decent hop bitterness mixes in around the finish and hangs around a bit. Mouthfeel is crisp and clean, medium body with a long aftertaste.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Slightly hazy orangeish golden pour with a loose, foamy white head that lasts a little while. Hoppy aroma has notes of pine, lemon, fruit punch, soap, bubblegum and caramel. Flavour displays a lot more malt than the aroma, tempering the hoppy bitterness with some restrained sweetness, but otherwise is pretty much the same. Mouthfeel is creamy but somewhat dry with moderate carbonation and a lengthy bitter finish. While this won’t win any awards for originality it could win for craftsmanship: refreshing, thirst-quenching and superbly balanced, what they do they do well.
