COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed initially for export to USA.
A lmited amount of kegs were released in NZ as Motueka Warrior (as a part of the annual Motueka/Yakima collaboration with Liberty Brewing)

The beer was then brewed for NZ, Aus and Italy under the Digital IPA label. It will be available throughout the southern hemisphere summer of 2011.

NZ Bottle:
This limited-release India Pale Ale (IPA) is an aggressive wee beast that is dedicated to our friend Joseph Wood of Liberty Brewing and to all those hopheads who love drinking IPA day in, day out.
Just as the term digital is all about zeroes and ones, the concept of IPA is all about malts and hops. Enjoy the rich golden malt backbone of Digital while you can... then feel it closing in as the fruity Motueka-grown hops dominate your palate and donít ever fade away.

IPA as it should be.

This ale is open source - you may not be able to download the beer itself but feel free to grab the recipe at www.yeastieboys.co.nz.

Date: February 16, 2012 Mode: Bottle Source: AV3 Description: Semi-opaque cloudy golden yellow with nice amount of head that lasted the whole time and lacing. Aroma is hoppy, malty, citrus, fruity. Taste is more piney hops but there is some citrus for sure like grapefruit and some malt for balance. Dry bitter finish and nice medium body for an IPA. Thanks to Greg at AV3 for the suggestion!

Poured amber in color with a large, creamy, dense, off-white head that greatly diminished but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of small and tiny-sized particles throughout. Excellent lacing. Flavor is medium sweet and heavily bitter. Tastes much like it smells, with notes of malt, hops, citrus, tangerine, tropical fruit, pine, and resin. Medium body. Oily, then dry texture. Average carbonation. Heavily bitter, medium sweet, malt, hop, citrus, tangerine, pine, resin finish is dry.

Bottle in Te Anau. Pours a clear golden with a small white head. Sweet with some bitterness. Quite hoppy with some caramel malt aromas. Hops aromas are floral with some resin and hints of pepper. Some bready notes... Sorachi Ace? Meidum to full bodied. Medium carbonation. Dry, hoppy finish. Good.

portableparty (1908) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - FEB 6, 2012
Bottle to snifter. Pours bright pale orange with a small white soapy head that fades to a spotty film and soapy collar. Aroma is bright pine grapefruit hops with a slight funk in the end. Taste is bitter pine and citrus with caramel all around. Palate is medium sticky with a chalky dry finish. I found this very refreshing and wanting more, but probably not going to drop another $6 for a 12 oz. bottle!

DeliriumT (354) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JAN 29, 2012
This beer has an aroma of lemon, orange and of course... Hops. The taste is unbelievably fresh, fresher than any other beer Iíve tasted. Freshness is the whole point of an IPA, but this takes it to another level. Another delicious beer from the yeastie boys

33 cl. Clear, orange-amber with a lasting meringue of foam. Big nose of resin, caramel, pollen, pineapple and grapefruit. Taste is similar, with the citrus fruit and fresh-toasted grain notes, but the resin and wood is more prevalent. Medium body is fairly smoothly carbonated and dry.
