COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed initially for export to USA.
A lmited amount of kegs were released in NZ as Motueka Warrior (as a part of the annual Motueka/Yakima collaboration with Liberty Brewing)

The beer was then brewed for NZ, Aus and Italy under the Digital IPA label. It will be available throughout the southern hemisphere summer of 2011.

NZ Bottle:
This limited-release India Pale Ale (IPA) is an aggressive wee beast that is dedicated to our friend Joseph Wood of Liberty Brewing and to all those hopheads who love drinking IPA day in, day out.
Just as the term digital is all about zeroes and ones, the concept of IPA is all about malts and hops. Enjoy the rich golden malt backbone of Digital while you can... then feel it closing in as the fruity Motueka-grown hops dominate your palate and don’t ever fade away.

IPA as it should be.

This ale is open source - you may not be able to download the beer itself but feel free to grab the recipe at www.yeastieboys.co.nz.

Hazy pale amber with soft carbonation. Melon and custard creams in nose becoming pineapple cheesecake on warming. Think that’s the yeastie boys yeast coming through as I got similar flavours in pot kettle black too. with plenty of Motueka flavour and perhaps a touch of NS grapeiness. Sweet with medium body, finishes fairly bitter.

Pours hazy golden. Nose of pine with hint of citrus. Hop forward flavor with pine, then orange fruit. Mild spiciness. Really nice finish with aromatic hop and bitterness.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with average, fizzy white head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is tangerines, bread and cookie malts, floral hops, and light funk. Flavor is citrus and pine hops forward with supporting sweet malts and light fruit esters; dry, lightly bitter finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

PhillyCraft (3525) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 13, 2012
Bottle last year, hazy orange pour with medium head and lacing. Had some nice light tropical resins from the Motueka, good bit of malt, and some other piney citrus notes. Medium body. Very bitter ipa.

Pale orange yellow with small white head. Aroma is more malty than hoppy, there is some citrus and also background of skunkiness. Medium body, fair amount of carbonation. Flavor has some nice piney bitterness and solid background of malt but not as crisp as it should be. Some nice flavors here but I feel like the bottle I had was maybe not so fresh.

resiny hops, citrus with sweet orange and caramel on the nose. Motueka dominates as promised. slight haze with nice white head. Colour suits the aroma of oranges: bright golden with an orange hue. Big malt up front, followed by a creeping bitterness and lots of hops and a dry lingering finish. Like been sconed in the face with an overripe orange, in a good way. Nice medium body with the malt helping boost the body before the long dry finish. A really nice NZIPA.

Pours gold with a bit of haze and an off white head of foam. The aroma offers up yeasty notes, a bit of resiny hops and then sweet orange and apricot. The taste has a mix of yeast, orange wedges, sugar coated apricot and then a mild hoppy bitterness. Pretty nice.

From a bottle poured an amber color with a small amount of head. Bitter hoppy flavor with a lingering aftertaste,
