4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 OJB (39) - Dunedin, - MAR 12, 2012The appearance showed strong amber orange. It was a bit cloudy with a medium frothy head and moderate carbonation. The aroma was fairly strong with orange malt and crisp hops. The flavour was strong with a resiny bitter hop finish. This beer had quite intense flavours, with smooth malt fruit and a hoppy bitter finish. It was quite nicely balanced.

11.2oz bottle. Pours a straw yellow color with a huge white head. Aroma of citrus and floral hops up front with piney resin following. Taste is sweet citrus, grapefruit, pine, and bready malts. Pretty straight forward IPA, nothing that stood out for me.
3.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Mattress63 (11) - AUSTRALIA - MAY 16, 2013
330ml bottle in Dunedin. More a malty taste for me than the citrus notes in other IPAs. Very nice, but not as big as I?ve heard about or others on here have found. 8 Wired Hop Wired much better for me all round.
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 PackPride (111) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - MAY 4, 2013
What an amazing ipa. This beer hails from New Zealand, and has super hoppy mouth feel with tons of character to it on the palate. Kept long enough on the palate you'll pick out subtle notes of fruitiness like pears and bananas. On the nose it's hop aroma explodes ,and again, the subtle fruit aromas come out. Great beer!

A very nice IPA with a noticeable difference from the standard US brewed examples. Held up in initial comparison but disappointed with a decidedly ’alcoholic’ ending.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bmerz (465) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - APR 5, 2013
Bottle. Pours murky yellow with little else. Aroma is strange yeast vinous, cheese rind, hop vegetal funk, and orange. Flavor is hoppy fruit juice with a grapefruit bitter finish.. Full body but drying biitter. foreign enough not to judge as an American ipa. Good as such.

From a 12 oz bottle shared at home. Pours a hazy pale gold with a thick white head. Earthy and vinous aroma. Flavors of grass and mild citrus. Bitter finish. Not your typical American-style IPA.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 lisagirl (140) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - APR 3, 2013
massive citrus all over this. very sweet citrus, probably grapefruit. not so bitter for an ipa, which is a good thing here, balances it right up. delicious, and on tap too.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 DylansDad (157) - NEW ZEALAND - APR 2, 2013
The only problem is that I can only find this in 330ml bottles and it’s so delicious with its citrus aroma and taste that it’s gone before it has a chance to really open up. Next time I think I’ll decant two bottles into a jug. Or three.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 mikedR (359) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - MAR 26, 2013
Interesting IPA. Has hops, bitterness, malty backbone, yada yada, but it's the unexpected sweetness that is intriguing. The sweetness is present throughout -- from beginning to end. At first it's the only note, then subsides to the bitterness, and finally reasserts its dominance at the end. A very unique IPA -- can't say I have had anything like it before.
