bottle - pouts hazy gold with a small head. Pineapple, peach and elderflower aroma. Taste just doesnt happen for me, very bland up front before a hoppy dry finish, which is quite short lived. Palate is also a bit on the watery side. Bottle is slightly past its BB date could be it?

Bottle at the Taps Better Beer Festival 2015, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is light malt, hay, citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter with a toothpaste, light citrus palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle shared at the chriso Easter 2015 tasting - London. Pours hazy gold with a creamy white head. Big citrusy and pissy hops in the nose, underscored by pale bready malts. Light sweet flavor with notes of grapefruit, pith, pee, peach. Light in body with average carbonation. Clean finish, pithy, with more citrus and tropical fruits, light minerals, pale bread sweetness. Good session IPA.

tombyars (1512) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - JUL 14, 2015
Tasted this in the Salt Cot, Saltcoats (JDW) on the 20th June 2015. Cask, handpump dispense. Crystal clear amber in colour with a thin white head. Aroma is clearly hoppy with notes of zesty orange peel present in the short nose. Thin resiny mouthfeel and excellent lacing. Pale malt delivers a digestive biscuit base with tart grapefruit present in the mouth. Bitter hop resins impart a citrusy resin flavour full in the palate with increasing dryness. Hoppy finish overall with tangerine, pink grapefruit and elderflower notes evident. A below standard example of a Golden Ale for me, far better examples out there.

danlo (1850) - Darlington, Durham, ENGLAND - JUL 4, 2015
330ml bottle. Gold amber colour with a white foam head and aroma of fruit cordial, elderflower, pineapple, passionfruit. Taste is malt caramel, slighty biscuity, with a fair amount of citrus grapefruit bitterness plus some fruity, passionfruit hoppiness and yeasty notes. Light bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry dusty bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Tasting at Plonk. Ratebeer "session IPA"? Definitely not - it’s a commonwealth golden ale. Golden pour, fruity hop aroma, cleansing bitterness. A nice example of a golden ale. Very sessionable.
