1.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
The tea in here is too over the top for me. Tasted very soapy and gave me headaches. Simple not a pleasant experience for me. Friends of mine love it though...

Very nice beer. Unusual, a little eccentric, but it has a very classy, refined, yet refreshing and zingy buzz to it. It sure is difficult to get a solid foothold into this flavour as each mouthful brings out something different. I didnít think it would be as good as it is. For me, the aroma gets a bit too out there by the last third of the glass. I donít mean it is bad, itís not, but after 2/3 of 330ml this beer is giving me a nice buzz and when I stick my beak into the glass, Iím expecting malt and hops not Earl Grey. But what would I know.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Bottle) Hazy amber with annoyingly ridiculously large fairly loose head. Lovely aroma - sweet oranges and tea. Excellent palate - medium body with refreshing carbonation. Tangy orangey foretaste with sweet malt to balance; then the tea and hop flavours develop providing a dry and reasonably bitter finish. Overall an unusual beer, but for me the tea worked well in the aroma, but rather less so in the taste

A copper amber with med-lge head. Smells.. Oranges/peel and earl grey, a hint of citrusy hops. Tastes very fruity, citrus made sweeter by the earl grey dominating at the back where a little malt appears too. 2nd time - enjoyed.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma at first is stunning, fresh hop driven goodness. Where this beer is let down is by the addition of Earl Grey tea.. Seriously I can understand the new trend of dry hopping with tea but Earl Gray? What were they thinking? Earl Gray is putrid in a tea, let alone a beer. Call me a purist but I personally believe there is no place foe Earl Gray in a beer. Nice beer otherwise.

Dangerous beach, that one. Bottle. Hazy amber with a large white head - the last of the bottle has tea leaves. Aroma of orange, grapefruit, tea. Not that keen on Earl Grey as tea, but it fits into the aroma rather nicely. Lightish bodied with highish carbonation. Taste is modestly sweet with a little honey and hay supporting sweet and bitter citrus flavours. Dry with blossomy citrus flavours and tea at the end. Liked this much better than the sample I tried at GABS, possibly due to it having gone a bit flat then. A well-executed curiosity.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Medium amber colour. Thick and lacey head with good retention. Spicy Aroma. I guess itís the tea leaves. Citrus also present. Orange and grapefruit. Taste is caramel sweet with some spiciness. Very little bitterness for an IPA.

Beery and bitter aroma, hints of tannic tea and orange peel. Glowing burnt orange in colour, oily white head. In the mouth thereís some odd things going on - the tea is a strong flavour, but thereís this soapiness that I canít quite get my head around. Itís very astringent and tannic on the after taste. I honestly donít know how I feel about this beer. Iím not a fan of tea, and so for me the tea-like characteristics of this characterful brew are not necessarily a positive. But that said, it does what it says on the bottle - itís explosive and leafy, full of orange flavoured tea and citrusy hops. Personally, I find it most enjoyable when drunken on a very hot day. An alcoholic ice tea!

On tap at BeerDeLuxe. Great, extreme beer. Aromas of coriander, caramel, grass. Taste is sweet and bitter, with long length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Amber, with a frothy head.
