Wow interesting. Not a subtle difference from normal ipa flavours but a nice sharp one.  No significant head with very little carbonation. Subtle aroma of tea and fruit. Flavour is a big smack of herbal tea! Sharp taste. Took me a minute to adjust and come around to this but I’m enjoying it. Certainly delivers what it intends!

Bottle. Vibrant cloudy amber beer with a very strong frothy white head. The aroma is hopped and fruity with orange peel, and the flavour is deeply bitter and hopped with a touch of fruity grapefruit but without the citrusness. Overall a nice beer, too complicate for my palate to distinguish all the flavours though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg at Spitfire. Pours clear amber. Nose is herbs, fruits, citrus, tea. Tastes fruits, tea, herbs, caramel. In a way I dont like tea in beer but this is quite good although the tea is quite dominant.

Draft to taster at Dutch’s. Pours a clear dark golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have a bunch of herbal, green, tea like hops, pale toasted malts, a splash of grapefruit citrus, moderate bitterness tothe finish, a light ppeppery spice, a hint of lemon, decent enough.

330ml bottle. Orange golden colour, white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of floral fruity, earl grey tea, orange & mango. Taste is malt, caramel, grain with juicy fruits, fragrant earl grey tea notes and lingering tangy spicy earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Aroma: floral hops, grain malts, straw, Earl Grey / bergamot. Appearance: slightly hazy gold, massive, frothy, white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: bitters continue, immediately floral hops, Earl Grey, bergamot, very dry and long finish. Overall: excellent IPA, fantastic idea with the team leaves. Bottle from Twenty One Wines, Brighton.

Keg @ Birmingham Beer Bash 2015. Pours hazy gold with lively white head. Grainy cereal, vanilla and a sweet spiciness. Didn’t know it was earl grey they used til afterwards. Alright but the spiciness doesn’t gel too brilliantly for me.

On draught at the 28th Annual Oregon Brewers Festival. The aroma is distinctly earl grey tea. Somehow, the flavor is a nice balance of the hoppy IPA and the herbal and earl grey tea notes.

I usually dislike when people rate a beer when they have a fundamental distaste for the style. For example, if you don’t like hops than you shouldn’t rate an IPA low, just stay clear of it. But making a beer that tastes like your grandmother’s perfume is deeply off. Perfume is not something the human body should consume. I wish I had of read the label before I bought this. Tastes like floral perfume with only a hint of IPA. Dud idea. Sure taste is subjective but yeastie boys subjectivity is lame.

Unlikely to be everyone’s cup of tea, this is a spectacular beer with a full on whomp of earl grey to it.
