3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: NOV 29, 2015 A love/hate sort of beer that I happen to like. Makes a nice change from the lingering bitterness of most of the other beers I enjoy drinking. A great way to start (and finish) a session.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Malts, caramel, yeast, hops, fruit, orange, citrus and thea.
Turbid golden/amber beer with a slight/medium white head.
Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, yeast and orange; gets slightly bitter with hops, fruit and citrus; finishes slightly weird and medicinal with thea.

Very light and fresh. Mainly citrus fruits (grapefruit and lemon) and clearly earl grey. Restrained in sweetness and bitterness. A beer best suited for a warm summer evening.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
33cl bottle. Pours a semi-opaque orange with a small white head. Smells of caramel, roses, bergamot, peaches and yeast, unlike any beer I have tried before. The taste is sweet and perfumey, with notes of roses and berries (not sure which, though) and feint bergamot. Incredible beer, unlike anything I have ever tried before.
Disclaimer: I am a big fan of Earl Grey tea, which is made using bergamot oil

Bottle from Plonk (June 2015). Clear bronze-amber, creamy white head, amazing floral aromas, rose petal, bergamot, lavender, with a candy-like sweetness balanced with a perfect level of bitterness. I love this beer, one of my all time favourites.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at home. Aroma is quite herbal, very floral, vanilla, jasmine, bergamot, tea, lemon, soapy, potpourri, hoppy notes. Flavour is light sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied. Generally I adore Earl Grey IPA but this was something else, truly off-the-scale herbal and floral. Interesting, but not necessarily a drinking experience I care to repeat.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared with Inoven. Hazy orangy color, average sized off-white head. Aroma is lightly malts, very herbal and floral and definitely some tea. Tastes about the same: some malts, a little more average on the herbs and flowers and tea. Lightly sweet as well. Average body, soft carbonation. Nice experiment, but I’m ok with an IPA without all these weird ingredients.
