some amazing beers tonight. this had two predominant flavours - black tea and apricots. thankfully the tea took the back seat to provide a base to the citrus and other malty goodness. utterly fantastic.

Interesting experiment, the earl grey comes through strongly in both aroma and flavour. Although you wouldn’t want to drink many, it’s a unique twist on the ipa standard.

Bottle from Cornelius. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Powerful aroma - shower gel, green tea and lavendar. Unusual. Flavour of... deodorant sprayed straight in the gob. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. I like strongly flavoured beers, but this is far too intense. As a subtle addition, bergamot and Earl Grey Blue Flower tea could work really nicely, but in this it is incredibly cloying. I could only drink about a quarter of the bottle.

hoppy, slightly spicy but not hugely aromatic,, mediocre head, good orangish murky colour, the early grey is noticeable and a nice touch, clean finish

Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. Pours a slightly hazy deep golden body with a small white head. Nose is bergamot oil, black tea, wet leaves, straw and hints of caramel, herbs, hay and citrus. Taste is wet leaves, caramel, black tea, bergamot oil and hints of citric peel, grapefruit and hay. Medium body and carbonation. Quite a nice little surprise from Yeastie Boys; this one blends the flavorful Earl Grey tea with a down under hop beer. Complex and intriguing, yet rather drinkable. Smooth.

330ml bottle, pretty dull beery nose didnt really get any ’tea’ notes that i was expecting, good cloudy colour with soft rolling carbonation, tastes a bit weird a bit hoppy and bitter then quite minty and burnt hoppy notes , palate weight is really good and theyve managed to balance the beer really well considering the flavours are a bit different!

From the bottle, thanks Jonathan! Dark orange color with small head. Bready malts, floral hops, also a bit of citrus fruitiness, a bit of spiciness. Taste is bready malts and tea. Smooth mouthfeel, tea finish, bitterness. A nice tea aftertaste. Spiciness, floral. This is very different, and nice!

Almost non existent head on pouring. Tea is subtle in the aroma, hoppy with "something" a bit different. A lot more tea in the taste, with an almost astringent bitterness. Caramel, tea, citrus, spices and honey flavours. Lingering bitterness.

Tap. Friends of Ham, Leeds. Hazy amber. Thin, persistent, white head. Floral, herby hop. Bready malts. Light funk. Taste is dry, with a lemon sharpness. Lots of body. Finishes dry, funky, and soft bitter.
