Deep brown pour with tan head that lasts forever. Piney, floral and citrus hop aroma with roast and touches if chocolate. Flavor is pretty similar with more roast and a bitter finish. Loaded with carbonation and a medium body. Petty tasty.

330mL bottle BBE: 28/01/17. Medium chill (approx 8 degrees). Pours a deep brownish black body with just a hint of crimson around the edges, and a small, persistent, tight tan head. Very hop forward nose, but the hops are stale, leaving a cheese and onion crisp aroma. This masks much of the malt complexity, but below this you can find some liquorice and coffee. A medium sweetness gives way to a light, dry, roasted bitterness. Medium-full bodied with a lightly abrasive texture, medium carbonation and a dry, slightly smokey finish. Unfortunately, this bottle has been poorly handled. However, it is clear that a robust and complex porter lies beneath.

Bottle at home. Aroma of malt, grass, soft chocolate, some roast, fruity notes, some grapefruit, citrus, "sinas snippers", hops. Flavour is light sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Body is medium. Very easily drinkable and refreshing fruity malty hoppy chocolate Porter, soft but tasty.

Bottle. My first from this brewery and yet another excellent beer from New Zealand.. Black with a medium head. Unusual earthy flavour that is refreshing and quite distinctive. Have they added some kind of flora to give this very unusual taste. Really worth trying.

Pours black with a white head. Aroma is chocolatey, some coffee and sweet treacle. A very sweet, cola taste that gives way to a coffee finish. Nice.

Tap @Home, Berlin. According to the barkeeper this is the only place in Germany, where you can drink this. And this beer is a must! Somewhere in between a porter and a BIPA, full of hoppy flavors, great color, great head, rather bitter for a Porter. Excellent.
