3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours very hazy gold with a creamy off-white head. Wow. The aroma is very, very smoked malt. Med body or better. Flavor is quite smoked malt. I think there’s some hop bitter in this. But it’s godawfully smoke. Like BrewDog went to NZ. Crazy stuff!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
11.2oz bottle. Mostly hazy golden yellow color. Thin white head. Good ropes and bits of lace. Big peaty smokey aroma. Very peaty, and campfire smokey, I like this kind of thing, but it’s very aggressive. Some light caramel malt underneath, light citrusy, spicy hop. Moderate bitter taste, light sweet, and a moderate lingering smokey savoriness, that lends a sort of pulled pork barbecue meatiness to the finish. Bigger body. Smooth, lighter, crisp carbonation. Lightly slick in the finish. Very good peaty smoked ale, with no shortage of smoke. I’m a fan of the smoked ale style, so I really enjoyed this...

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The head is ok, the body gold-orange. It smells smoky-crazy, hoppy-aromatic, malty. The taste is smoky-very smoky, smoked fish, wood-bacon, alcoholic-creamy. Strange, strong and amazing! 3.8

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
hazy gold, thin white ring. Smokey stable nose, earthy an overpowering. Smokey flavor up front, burnt chemical notes in the end. Very thin, amazing that it supports the flavor, but the finish is a mess.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330mL. Pours a clear straw with white bubbles, no head. Nose is ridiculous Islay single malt Scotch style with apple pie, mega peat, chamomile, iodine. Taste is way overpowering though with no body to match the intensity. Comes across as too chemical with turpentine and formaldehyde, soil, and ash. Headache inducing.

1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
12oz bottle pours a clear gold with some swirling white head. Nose is all smoke and rubber, rubber band, cleaning fluid... and rubber. Flavor has some honey sweetness then just kicks you with smokey burning tires. Sickly, rubbery finish. Gross. :-(

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Proof. Hazy amber pour with a small white head. Heavy peaty smoke aroma with mild astringency. A bit a malt sweetness on the tip of the tongue fading into a lot a peaty smoke with no real finish. Too much and not well put together.
