COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A beer inspired by Trappist brewing tradition. We use European pilsner malt and Belgian dark candi sugar to brew this deep, rich ale. Dark fruits and malts are predominant in the aroma and follow through to the palate, which is soft, but with a Belgian spiciness.

Bottle 2013. Has taste of raw meat and dark fruit. Has a rough back bite not bitter just off in flavor. Not an enjoyable brew. Carbonation is quick to form and quick to leave with somewhat large bubbles more simlar to cola than beer. aroma is light... To sweet and impacts like drinking a wine cooler in terms of acid reflux.

Bottle from Liquor express. Pours coca-cola brown with an inch of white foam. Leaves no lacing in glass. Definitely get a sweetness on the nose. Hides it’s alcohol we’ll on the tongue. Not getting a lot of Belgian yeast action on the tongue. Finishes clean. Solid but not the best example of the style.

Bought in Huntsville. $7.69 a bomber. Slight plum, and slightly sweeter than most dubbels I’ve had. Yellowhammer pulls it off, imo. This was a great "bang for your buck" beer, and I will buy this again.

Draft. Poured dark amber with a smallish off-white head. Aroma and flavor were caramel, some toffee, quite sweet, dark fruit ( figs dates and cherries), candi sugar, earthy yeast, some spiciness. Good but a bit off balance. Too sweet.
