COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Biter is a smooth malty oatmeal stout balanced by flavors of roasted barley with chocolate malt. Gentle bittering but generous aroma is given by the popular English hop, East Kent Golding. This gentle stout will be attractive to anyone who likes a full-flavored beer, including hard-core connoisseurs of stout.

On tap at Bones. Black with a brown head. Scent is roasted malt, chocolate and sugar. Taste is sweet at first, some chocolate, bitter finish.

Bottle. Deep brown with copper highlights and an enormous over-inflated finely bubbled head that took five installments to pour. Aroma is sweet roast and light plastic. Over-carbonated palate, thin mouthfeel, roast and plastic again. I hope this is an off bottle, otherwise this is an appalling beer.

Had this a while back at the brewery. Pours a jet black small tan head. Smells sweet malty and of roasted barley. Nice roasty taste as well as some chocolate. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Nice tasting beer, much better than their lighter beers.

12oz bottle. Dark brown with a creamy light tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and some lactose. Flavor is semi-sweet chocolate, light bitter roast and a sugary sweetness. Medium to full body with a creamy mouth feel. Pretty good stout, rich and malty just a touch on the sweet side.

Nothing going on here. Medium bodied stout which doesn’t really offer anything interesting. Roasted aromatics, slightly creamy body. A bit too thin for me.

Bottle. Poured a nearly opaque black color with some ruby light shining through. The head was thin and light brown. Pleasant milk chocolate, toffee, and subdued anise aromas. Medium bodied and slightly sweet with flavors following the aromas.

12oz bottle from savvy1982.
Appearance : Black with huge foamy brown head.
Aroma : Roasted malt, light coffee, light acidity. Nice chocolate with light hops.
Taste : Roasted malt with light sour tang. Light chocolate and light coffee. Finish is very thin and dry with roasted malt, light fruity notes and light sour tang. Carbonation is very fizzy, a bit too much.
Overall : Weird beer. Most likely infected with the sour tang and the overly fizzy carbonation. That being said, it tasted pretty good. I just have a hard time enjoying something sour that doesn’t appear like it was done on purpose. Carbonation is way too intense. The sour tang doesn’t fit the beer that well.

Smells like and oatmeal raisin cookie, has a nice dark color with a thin white head. To bitter for my liking, but if you like sours you’ll probably be a fan. An odd think to say about a stout... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A bit of raisin and toast aroma with a dense black color and medium body. A little sweet but not cloyingly so.
