COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Huckleberry Wheat is bear food in a bottle! Most other fruit beers have such a tart snap that you can't taste the beer. The Huckle-Weizen is BEER with just enough huckleberry to make you yearn for the wilderness!

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2007 12oz bottle-Aroma of huckleberry on a slightly hazy light amber body. Taste of sour and more sour. Could have potential. Not the worst but not the best.

Pours a hazy golden brownish color. Aromas of mild berries, wheat bread, and a touch of hops. Flavor is a nice balance of soft fruit flavor with malts and a crisp dry finish. Iím not big on fruit beers, but this one has a subdued flavor, not over the top.

Gushing, despite restrained pour. Dark amber tinted orange golden glow, topped with mountains of crystal white head. Not much aroma, slight fruit and malt. Flavor is like a slightly fruity typical lager, with a tinge of wheat and yeast in the background. A light estery berry fruit in the nose and on the back end. Very drinkable.

This is a surprisingly good fruity hefe. Comparable to some of the better raspberry weizens but with a slightly more tart sweetness. Picked this up in Sheridan, WY in 2013.

Draft: Hazy pale yellow pour with a small white head. Mild huckleberry aroma, more in the taste. A bit of florals and light wheat. Finished a little soapy.

Thanks to skyview for sharing. Pale pink/yellow body. Nice fruit nose on this one. Grainy fruit body with decent berry flavor, which Skyview assures me is dead on for Huckleberry. Itís nice and definitely different.

Sampled at the 5th Montana Brewfest in Bozeman. Hazed gold. Aroma is bursting with huckleberries. Taste is also sweet with tons of berry. A little too sweet for me but very nice to try.

Hazy, light-orange color, small and vanishing white head. Intriguing berry aroma: very fresh, awake and alive, full of fruitiness. Initial gritty and grainy texture, but an ultimately smooth mouthfeel. Good finish, the flavor tends to stick around for a bit. Iím not in a region that sees a lot of huckleberries, so I canít comment too well on that particular flavor component, except that it serves itís purpose very well, and imparts just enough flavor that it never wears out itís welcome. I see this as Montanaís equivalent to a great favorite here in the Midwest, Leinenkugelís Honey/Berry Weiss. Are they ales or lagers? No one knows or cares, except that chicks dig íem, or girly-men,...or...girly-women. Sell this kind of beer or Smirnoff Ice, take your pick.
