Cask (gravity dispense) at Reading Beer Festival, day 2 on 1 May 2009. Copper colour. Good condition. Quite dry and malty. Decent enough balance. Nothing particularly out of the ordinary but well made and entirely fit for purpose.

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2010 Cask-conditioned at the Royal Oak, Bath 7/05/09. Deep amber with an off-white head. Sweet, caramel and cherry aroma. Flavour had plenty of toffee, with a touch of peppery spice and moderately bitter finish. Ok [2.9]. Re-rate at the Seven Stars, Bristol 18/03/10. Less sweet this time, with some grassy hops more prominent [3.1].
