COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
A very attractive alternative to the classic Pils. The Yerseke’s Mosselbier offers more color and more taste. First you taste the bitterness of the hops, immediately followed by a light sweetness of the roasted malt. The dark amber color in a special flute glass is an enrichment for the table.

Bottle 33cl. backlog (2010?). Slightly hazy dark golden color, small frothy off-white head, disappears quickly; aroma sweet malty, caramel, citrus; moderate sweetbitter taste, light sour touch, bit watery; medium body, oily texture; sweetbitter aftertaste. Indeed nice with musles!

This beer comes in a small bottle, that alone is a negative. The is a clear amber colour, the head is thin and tan in colour. The aroma is sweet malt, although I can sense a hop or three. The flavour was rather sweet, with some malt and hops in the mix

Test vom 3.5.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,11,11,12,10,11

Bottled, 330ml from Marche de Natalie, Bouillon, Belgium. Clouded pale orange with white head. Not quite what I expected, this is a sweetish, candy like, yeasty beer, thin on the palate and with little substance. Maybe a hint of herb, little in the way of hops. Not terribly good.

250 mL bottle at the Esplanade Biermarkt. Didn’t have it with mussels. I don’t even like mussels. Amber-orange with a head that means well, but doesn’t have the legs to finish the race. Nice lacing, though. The aroma is kinda sweet; not much else. Tastes kinda like a sweetened pilsner. Maybe a little oxidized. Maybe mussels would make this taste better.

[2804-20100313] Bottle. Not much aroma, just light floral notes. Slightly hazy, amber brown body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Mild sour apple skin flavour with a long semi-sweet finish. Medium body. Not sure if this is right, it’s not off (surprisingly) but it is weird.

Bottle. bb 05/07/09. Pours light amber with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is sweet, cooked, caramel. Near medium body with rather frothy carbonation. Flavor is cooked caramel, but not sickeningly sweet. Hop is minimal. It’s drinkable.

Wish I tasted this with a fresher palate, but getting light caramel and pretty pale fruit, lemony notes. Off-clear apricot color with only light foam, and fairly still fine carbonation. Nose is peachy, lightly sweet with perfumey fruit. Charming ’small’ beer and the aroma is worth the try.

Bottle, bought @ Willems, Grobbendonk.
Pours a lovely, darkish golden colour with a fine, creamy, white head on top. Buttery aroma, some caramel, and flowery hops. High carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour is interesting, if a little weird. Sweet and malty - almost bordering on brewing cereal. Then some roasted malts look past and is replaced by a fair amount of flowery hoppiness. Relatively dry in the finish. As a pale lager, this is quite good. As a Bohemian Pilsner, it is below par.
