A very attractive alternative to the classic Pils. The Yerseke’s Mosselbier offers more color and more taste. First you taste the bitterness of the hops, immediately followed by a light sweetness of the roasted malt. The dark amber color in a special flute glass is an enrichment for the table.

Hazy amber coloured. This brew is quite weak and boring with some unpleasant fishy notes.

Quite hazy amber color with a white head. The taste is watery and yeasty, with notes of the sea and citrus.

hazy reddish colour. big yeasty aroma with a little spice and sweet malt. biscuity malt and a dryish finish. not a bad little beer and better with seafood rather than on its own. (rating is with seafood)

(25o ml bottle) Medium head and a near red body. Nose of bandaid and sour cherries. Sour cherry flavour. Very much a letdown...

Bottled. Deep opaque mahogany colour with large fluffy white head, dissipating slowly yet controlled. Slightly smoked aroma, flat flavour. Looks better then it tastes.

Light citrus, light malty, fishy aroma. Hazy, dark amber/orange color, off-white head, fair lace. Light sweet, lots of carbonation (burp), orange, some hops. Soft finish with orange and bubbles.

Bottle: slight caramelaroma, buttery pearflavor, slightly hoppy. Tap: sold as Sjefke bier in Café de Nieuwe Roos in Ootmarsum. Stronger caramelaroma, cloudy amber color, pear flavor with a hint of sourness. Medium bodied, but the flavor is a bit on the thin side. The rating is an average.

Creamy, long lasting head. Cloudy with a good deal of yeast sediment. Transient hoppy flavour. Not a bad brew.

Hazy amber; yeasty, dry maltiness on the nose. Spritzy, slightly cakey malt, allspice, hop dryness. Intended to be consumed alongside mussels, and alongside meules belgiques the yeastiness dropped out of the beer, which to me was an improvement. The mussels improved the beer, but the beer didn't really do anything for the mussels.
