Bottle conditioned.
A very attractive alternative to the classic Pils. The Yerseke’s Mosselbier offers more color and more taste. First you taste the bitterness of the hops, immediately followed by a light sweetness of the roasted malt. The dark amber color in a special flute glass is an enrichment for the table.

Hazy amber; yeasty, dry maltiness on the nose. Spritzy, slightly cakey malt, allspice, hop dryness. Intended to be consumed alongside mussels, and alongside meules belgiques the yeastiness dropped out of the beer, which to me was an improvement. The mussels improved the beer, but the beer didn't really do anything for the mussels.

Bottled. Reddish amber with very rich, fine creamy head. Sweet with big toffee flavour, othre wise clean and rather light flavourwise. Lightly salty finish. Actually quite similar to oyster with it's dicrete flavour and light saltiness.

Yeast, and apricot aroma. Honey colour, hint of ruby, pours an enormous long lasting head, pretty lacing. Tastes of golden raisins, blood oranges, with a pomegranate aftertaste. Full bodied, good tongue tingle, quite bitter. A fine Belgian!

[Keg] Red amber color, with a thin persistent collar. Good and easy to drink, because of some dryness and astringency (and a light oak note), but not impressive.

I’ve always been wondering what this beer tasted like. It’s not the fishy taste i expected. Looks pretty good, cloudy orange-brown color. Bit malty aroma and taste. Quite ok.

Murky orange brown with lasting light beige head. Interesting sweet aroma. Raisins, fruit, honey and sweet golden syrup malt, cooked past malt and even oatey malt aromas. Medium sweet palate wih strong malty sweet start but little to nothing in the middle and a faint bitter after taste. If you like malt you will probably like this beer, otherwise give it a miss.
